Reasons why Aldo is truly the GOAT fighter ever in the UFC

Top ten yes, you could argue top 5 no doubt but he got KO'd in 13 seconds in the biggest fight of his career. It's a stain that'll never come clean.

Unfair to say that. All the other champs got rematches for the belt.

Never thought I’d see “The Notebook” mentioned on Sherdog :)

To be honest with you, I'm only like 60% sure my analogy even worked haha. My girlfriend informed me that upon watching it I'd need "to get the tissues ready". I didn't realize it was porn.

GOATS who get knocked out also got rematches. Don't quote Aldo's cliche "anytime anywhere" please.

While I'm not sure the 13 second loss changes too much in regards to where Aldo already stood, but how can you ask a cliche common question and then refuse to accept the cliche common response?

I would have been interested in a McGregor Vs Aldo rematch at some point for sure. Conor finishing it so quickly kind of writes off a lot of questions that we wanted to see asked. But just because Anderson got to fight Weidman in a stale division again doesn't warrant anything. Also, where is this even coming from? Two instances where Anderson got to fight Weidman and GSP got to fight Serra? What about Fedor?

fedor took 10 years on abuse, he his a ww who was fighting super hw

Oh please, my wife has taken abuse for far longer and with a greater weight disparity and can still take a good shot

Your GOAT knows Fedor is GOAT.

Also, you just want Aldo that high to elevate Conor’s stock. It’s bullshit.

What Aldo said was cliche bro. I think you misunderstood me. Aldo's cliche. Anyway, Cain got his rematch too after getting knocked out by JDS. Other than Anderson breaking his leg in the fight, all the champions retained. I think Aldo should have been given the opportunity. What warranted the rematch was what Aldo had already accomplished in his career and that he was mentioned alongside GSP and Silva. I get what you mean about Fedor but that's outside the UFC environment.

Jose Aldo is the GOAT because he is the the only GOAT candidate:

1. To have won a fight during the USADA era.

And

2. Not get popped for PEDs.

He's also tied for 3rd all time with 9 title defenses in arguably the most stacked and well rounded division (FW) in MMA history.

Aldo has the best resume of all time and has the best 2 wins of all time in Frankie 2X. Frankie Edgar is a top 10 GOAT and one of the most consistent and well rounded fighters ever and Aldo dominated him 2X.

Jose Aldo is the GOAT.

Aldo’s best wins are against midget wrestlers with no stand up threat. The first 2 non midget wrestlers who had KO power he fought he got KTFO in a record of 13 seconds to lose his belt and tooled.

Aldo ducked a random drug test and then tampered with another test.

Fraud GOAT along with Anderoid, the Lance Armstrong of MMA

Ah right got you. It sucks for Aldo cause it was cliche, but not many people get that cliche thrown right in their face as the exact cliche scenario comes up right after they say it. Shame for the guy.

Cain was in a dogshit division and he didn't get an immediate rematch if I'm correct. Didn't he take every ounce of Bigfoot's blood first? I don't disagree that there could have been a rematch, but in most cases I think it's just a case of the rematch being the fight people either want to see, or it being just a case where there's no other contenders and that fight somehow makes the most sense. Conor was immediately looking at creating a bigger fight and Aldo kind of got left behind in the rubble. It's a shame for the guy but the whole entire situation with Conor has been horrendous for him.
