I mean thousands of Brazilian fans over the years have always chanted "You will die!" to non-Brazilians and never showed respect for non-brazilian fighters when fighting in Brazil. Then comes Colby and pretty much says the same thing and everything blows up and Brazil feels its the most disturbing thing thats ever happened. Why the double standard?

It's because they're all hypocrites and snowflakes.

AGAIN? don't you get tired of talking about the same stuff?

The difference is, Brazilians are sensitive who can’t take what they give

yes, the fans. Colby is not a fan, he's a fighter, he's held to different standards.

Fans =/= fighters

One person paid to be there and the other is being paid to be there. Different standards.

Buzz McAllister says that Brazilian fighters don't shave their pits.

Wanderlei and Vitor included.

There are just as many non Brazilians that somehow also took it upon themselves to be offended, I think belàl Muhammad and will brooks were the latest ones in a long number of offended phoneys.

Mms is a blooodsport what the heck do you expect from the fans?

True, also hitting fighters walking in to the octagon like complete wildlings.

Also ts got subbed by a 115lbs girl.

Tea, cakes, and white gloves like an English tennis match I guess.

First of all, all Brazilians are not the trash you describe. There are plenty of educated men, women, children, who come watch the fights and don't yell profanities at non-brazilian fighters. Calling all Brazilians filthy animals is offensive nonsense that should be fined/punished. You don't call an entire nation a profanity.

The few Brazilian fans who go crazy at the non-brazilian fighter, shouldn't be rewarded with a response. Besides, if someone calls you a son of a whore, calling him a son of a whore in return IMO just lowers your own worth more than it lowers his.

But every non-Brazilian fighter walking into the Octagon deserves to die?

the brazilians are simply stating a universal truth of life.

that it will one day come to an end. it is an artistic display and acknowledgement of our mortality, meant to instill a sense of curiosity in the mind of fighters of all nationalities as to the nature of being. The realization of ones insignificance allows for cognitive freedom from the fear that plagues the psychology of pugilists, and allows for a pure expression of martial arts.

this is what all brazilians think while chanting vai morrer. it is not a threat, it is encouragement for you to liberate your mind.

Covingtons words, on the otherhand, are not factual. while all brazilians are animals, they are not necessarily filthy, and the term dump can be ambiguous. inaccurate news is fake news. he should communicate more eloquently, as the brazilians do with their chant that can only be interpreted in this most truthful of ways.

There should be ZERO fine/punishment for using words.

Words only hurt pussies.
