UFC's PPV business wasn't an overnight success either. They've got to build a string of entertaining PPVs to achieve long-term success so eventually guys like Michael Chandler and James Gallagher can evolve to become PPV headliners with all the attention they'll get on the undercard of these veteran-headlined events.

But make no mistake about it, Bellator's relevancy in the MMA world is completely dependent on booking stars of yesteryear against each other, which is why Ortiz-Bonnar, Shamrock-Slice, and Shamrock-Gracie are the highest-rated events in Bellator history.
