questions about title changing stuff

    so with this no contest and the belt going back to cormier business, I've heard it said its as if the fight didn't happen, and that it technically counts as cormier retaining the title. Wouldn't that technically mean jones never won the title the 3rd time in the books? or is their some way it is officially acknowledged without actually having a title winning fight on his record for it? enlighten me ye holy convocation of martial arts scholars and tacticians.

    Officially Jones never won the last fight which means he never won that title. It is pretty much like the fight never happened, it's completely nullified.

    Cormier retains the title but it doesn't count as a defense

    Is there a weight class that doesn't have some issue in it right now? WMMA 125 seems solid
