There is no reason for me to think otherwise. Unless Eddie becomes some sort of amazing wrestling with a really good chin and defence i don't see what he can do to Conor as a threat.

    You get it.

Conor has had trouble with one guy in the UFC, Nate Diaz. Nate not only has a chin (which we saw definitely get tagged), but the reach to avoid a good percentage of dangerous strikes as well while answering back on his own. These are tools that Eddie did not possess. Holloway was another guy whose being lanky enough got him to go to decision, IMO.

The Diaz chin argument/comparison is almost identical to why someone like Doo Ho Choi, another knockout artist, ran into problems with Cub... Cub ate bombs, and survived. What the fuck does a knockout artist do then, except try to rely on heart? Props for DHC for showing that heart at least, but it was the beginning of the end. Conor possesses both a reach advantage and KO power. That spells disaster for a guy who himself does not have at least the reach to hang back or the chin to absorb the punishment and find a way.

First you make thread claiming that Alvarez is this huge stud and that Conor most likely doesn't stand a chance. Then Conor completely outclasses Alvarez and you make thread asking people if they think Alvarez threw the fight.

Are you fucking serious? Do you have no self-respect? No spine whatsoever.

    My thoughts exactly.

There is zero % chance Alvarez threw the fight. It's not even within the realm of possibility based on his personality and the fact he was facing Conor.

Outclassed him, Conor is just on another level to Eddie, the gameplan was irrelevant, its not going to overcome the massive gulf in skill. Not like Eddie didn't try to get the takedown but its easier said than done, if he just shoots right off the bat he is going to get countered, he doesn't have quite the same explosive speed as Mendes did. Plus Conors TDD has clearly improved.

McGregor hit him and made him question himself. One of the firmest ass-kickings of a great fighter that I've ever seen.

Conor definitely outclassed him. Eddie had a round and a half (with a break between rounds to adjust his strategy) and he still got destroyed. Aldo has a much better argument for having "thrown it away" than Eddie does. He came out wild and got caught in 13 seconds with a single punch that KO'd him. Had he been more measured and technical the fight could have turned out different. Maybe not, but the point is he has an argument that he threw it away. Eddie just plain got beat up and finished by a better fighter.

He beat him fair and square. Eddie was silly to try and match him at what Mcgregor does better than him, especially that early in the fight.

    You would make this thread.

Alvarez got clocked before he even got started. He didn't throw anything away, it was taken.
