Which is best?

Pick your ultimate dream hamburger and put it against your ultimate dream pizza

Really depends on what I'm hungry for.
But the best pizza is undoubtedly in Italy, while I can get a good hamburger locally.
Maybe I haven't had THE BEST hamburger yet but some of the ones here, made of 100% beef and fresh ingredients are damn fine.

EDIT: If there was an extra choice of PASTA - that would win for me every time! I'm a Pastafarian. :)

I've had bad hamburgers. I've never had a bad pizza.

Spoiled my ballot. 2 of my favorite foods.

*shrugs shoulders
*streaks through thread

Pizza is owning this shit!!

Bullshit. Bad pizza is like bad pussy....it ain't that bad

When I went to high school they opened a Pizzanos next to us

It was GOOD

Kids would rush and line up from school to grab a HUGE, THICK slice for a toonie! (Canadian $2)

Then as time went on they they weren't putting on an opening show, pizza got a little smaller

hmmm

then they jacked the price, first $2.25 and then 2.50!!!

For smaller and smaller pizza

Right before I graduated, I bought a slice one last time

The last slice was thin as hell with thick burnt crust.

I picked it up by the crust and all the pizza toppings etc just fell the fuck off the rest of the greasy pizza that flopped down like it gave up on life

Pizza, it's just a more versatile food. There are a few specific cravings I have that can be satisfied by Pizza. A burger is great, and when you want a burger there's no substitute for it, but its still just a single dish, albeit an awesome one. Admittedly, you could say the same thing about a steak, which I would take over pizza any day, but I feel like pizza and sandwiches compete for the same attention, apart from other types of meals.

I applaud your in depth analysis!

I love burgers and I get cravings for a good burger now and then, but that's not always. Pizza is always good, even if I'm not in the mood for it specifically. Shits even good cold

Both are truly amazing. But if they were actually healthy, I could eat pizza several times a week and never get sick of it.

Best pizza in Italy? Let me guess - you've never eaten pizza in Italy, right? I would go so far as to say that the worst pizza is in Italy.

That being said - pizza.

I've eaten pizza in Palermo, Bergamo, Milano, Pisa and Firenze. All tasted great. Maybe you've eaten pizza in the "tourist-oriented" places? Always look for the trattoria/pizzeria where locals dine, bro.

I'm in Italy 3 times a year for many years now and I don't travel as a tourist anywhere. I've had good pizza in Italy, but I've had much more criminally bad pizza in Italy, especially compared to other Mediterranean countries.
