Remember seeing this back in the 90's. Fresh, new, edgy. Had that "all the cool kids" vibe.

Tried to watch it again. Slow, messy, all over the place. I guess that was some of it's appeal back then. Was a different time. I was a different person. Dialogue is timeless, but it's just that. Cinematic blue balls 101.

Still, it had it's moments. Tense moments. Reminded me why I did like it.

I watched it several years ago after hearing everyone and their grandma hype it up. I remember thinking it was cool and entertaining.

When it gets to the hillybillies capturing Marcellus and Butch to rape them, I was like "WTF is going on? Did I just pass out and wake up hours later into a different movie?"

It is really slow when John Travolta takes Poison Ivy to that hipster joint and they do that stupid ironic dance. We get it, he was in Grease and Saturday Night Fever

I watched it a few tears back for the first time. Everybody hyped it up so much I was like yeah, this should be good. But it wasn't my jam tbh. Oh well.

How about Reservoir Dogs? I haven't watched that one in a while. I'll have to do it again soon but I don't think I'll like it less than I did initially.

Lol I never tried to pass it off as my own. I simply forgot to throw the link below, because most websites have an automatic copy redirection when you copy/paste their content. Apparently his site does not. (His site is worthless now because he's dead) Mr. Amateur Movie Guy @Dragonlordxxxxx had a fit for no reason. Did you really think I would copy and paste a whole word for word review of a world renowned GOAT critic, try to pass it off as my own, and NOT expect one of the million virgin no-lifes to reverse search it? You are gullible!

'Messy and all over the place'

Seems like you didn't like it just because it wasn't told in a nice and neat lineal way for you. Not our fault you couldn't follow it

That was some of it's appeal back in the day. It was cool and all, but it kind of ruined the flow and momentum of the movie. Instead of having a beginning-middle-end structure with a payoff, it kind of just went nowhere. Given that the film is called Pulp Fiction for a reason... It was kind of like sticking a few TV episodes together as far as narrative wise. Still, it was unique as hell at the time. It's up there, but I don't consider it as highly as others seem to.
