So I have been in a heated argument with a friend over the materials of gloves lately and I am wondering if anyone can help me.

First lets just start by saying we both use leather gloves.

The argument is, what is PU gloves made out of ? And what are Power-hide gloves made out of.

So far what I can find is fairly limited and I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on the matter.

PU :- "Bicast leather (also known as bi-cast leather, bycast leather, or PU leather, sometimes described as split leather) is a material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane (hence the term "PU leather") that is applied to the surface and then embossed. These gloves are made from PU leather, a synthetic form of leather made with plastics often used to cut down on costs

Powerhide:- A synthetic version of leather. To be more specific it is man made leather grained PVC with a material backing for added strength.

Im keen to know the answer and if the are the same thing?

Doesn't it tell you there what they're made of?

They're different. PU isn't the same material as PVC for a start.
