So I have been in a heated argument with a friend over the materials of gloves lately and I am wondering if anyone can help me. First lets just start by saying we both use leather gloves. The argument is, what is PU gloves made out of ? And what are Power-hide gloves made out of. So far what I can find is fairly limited and I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on the matter. PU :- "Bicast leather (also known as bi-cast leather, bycast leather, or PU leather, sometimes described as split leather) is a material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane (hence the term "PU leather") that is applied to the surface and then embossed. These gloves are made from PU leather, a synthetic form of leather made with plastics often used to cut down on costs Powerhide:- A synthetic version of leather. To be more specific it is man made leather grained PVC with a material backing for added strength. Im keen to know the answer and if the are the same thing?
