Prime Joe Rogan vs Prime Jimmy Smith

Is he vastly more experienced as a martial artist?

You could say he's had more MMA experience.

Although, obviously Rogan fought In like 100 TKD bouts and some kickboxing. He's trained @ boxing gyms, trained with guys like Rob Kaman, done jiu jitsu for 20 years received a black belt from both Eddie Bravo and Machado In the Gi.

I don't know what Jimmy's striking backround Is, If any at all..but It would seem that Rogan's martial arts repertoire is more diverse.

Maybe I overstepped the mark...but he was a high school wrestler, bjj from an early age and thrown in striking somewhere around there. I would just think Jimmy would have a lot more all round skill that Joe would...Joe just seems like a specialist, whilst he has legit grappling credentials I think people over hype his grappling ability.

rogan had good TMA, and jiu jitsu, but as others have pointed out, one of them actually fought professionally. Plus Jimmy Smith beat the host of Human weapon, so he's 1-0 against hosts of martial arts shows.

IIRC the other host guy was a brown belt in 10 planet JJ and trained with Bravo.
During Human Weapon he mentioned his brown belt in 10planet several times.

EDIT: He also submitted the Jason (human weapon) via heel hook in 1:27.
My money is on Jimmy vs Rogan.

Cm Punk has fought mma.

So Punk vs an angry JJ Watt?

I dont think anybody in the world sees CM Punk as a MMA fighter or James Toney for that matter.
Jimmy actually as a winning record... CM punk not so much.

Did a lill read on Jimmy so

If we are talking prime was Joe even doing anything really JJ wise during his prime.
Jimmy would prob win on the mat:

Some of Smith’s other notable jiu-jitsu accomplishments include being the Joe Moreira Tournament lightweight champion, Copa Pacifica welterweight champion, the Cleber Luciano tournament welterweight champion and the Paragon tournament champion. Smith also placed third in the Southern California Submission Pro-Am and the 2003 Gracie Open.

He became a black belt 2 years ago 2016
" The retired mixed martial artist turned color commentator earned his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Ricardo “Rey” Diogo, one of the first Carlson Gracie representatives to come to the United States."
