President of Association of Boxing Commissioners: Conor's conduct jeopardized the health and safety

If Conor is so pissed at Goddard for having the unmitigated gall to shoo him away from the cage during a fight in which he was acting like a hyperactive 5-year old, then he's got some psychological issues fo sho.

Here's the reality:

Conor shouldn't have gotten in the cage

Goddard shouldn't have pushed him. He's clearly unprofessional and has a history of pushing conor for no reason.

Goddard deserved to be pushed.

Conor shouldn't have gotten on the cage.

The official shouldn't have tried to shove conor off the cage. That was legit stupid as fuck.

The official deserved to be slapped for such a stupid move.

Didn't Paul Daley basically get a lifetime UFC ban for attacking Koscheck after the fight? Not too much worse than what Conor pulled.

Also, Jason High was permabanned for bumping a ref.
Big Country got 9 months suspension and 24k$ fine because he very lightly kicked the ref in the ass.
(And he kicked the ref cause he thought the ref let the fight go on for too long, forcing him to hit an opponent he felt were done)

Thanks, forgot all about that one.

complete garbage. he was excited and passionate about his team mate winning. you wanna fine him, thats cool, but to try and push him when he is on top off the cage is stupid. if he had not grabbed on the cage he woulda fell head first. i woulda slapped that official myself and it has nothing to do with anything other than pure simple human etiquette.

was conor in the wrong for touching the referee. yes. but the referee could have easily given conor a pass, but instead chose to trade words with conor. big john and herb dean would have navigated that situation like pros, but instead you get the super anal goddard who makes it everything about "the rules" . he never liked conor, and he was just itching to cause trouble.

how many times have you had someone of authority that could have been cool but chose to enforce some bs just cause they're just unhappy with life? mark goddard is 100% a shit stirrer, and conor is just not one to back down and that doesnt help his cause. but if you think anyone else but conor is the victim here, you are absolutely out of your mind.

Coaches and corner men are the only people allowed in the cage after a fight. Teammate or not, Conor was a spectator and had no business going into that cage.

Imagine if someone in the 5th row ran in there and did that, you'd be crying that they should've been arrested

Again, just look at how crazy Conor becomes at someone just for calling him out in public for acting like a child.

If someone actually told him no to his face he legit might try to kill that person. Dude is genuinely unhinged.

I keep hearing this about Goddard(only from hardcore McGregor lovers though). I watch more or less all MMA events. I have only seen Goddard react to Connor once before, and that was when Connor was breaking the rules by screaming and screaching advice to a fighter in the cage when he was not a cornerman. Goddard asked him to stop, Connor acted like a angry child.
Do you have any examples of Goddard doing anything against Connor at any other events?

Goddard were very professional to only push Connor lightly. Security should have bodyslammed Connor before he even got so far.
The official did the right thing by trying to prevent a moron from leaping into the octagon.

Congratulation to Tony Ferguson on becoming the undisputed UFC lightweight champion!

conor didnt knock over anybody. someone else pushed an official who fell on/close to the fighter.

yes it actually does. its this internet culture or making a big issue out of nothing cuz you dont like that person.

i do agree with you conor should have not been there but the refs/officials handled it poorly. my friend.

None of that would've ever happened if Conor didn't go on that cage. Everything that happened is a direct result of him and him only

Add in that the guy he was trying to prevent from entering was already escorted out a minute earlier after causing chaos

The Ivan Buchinger fight. Unnecessarily launched Conor with a push when he was doing nothing but standing there with a punch loaded to throw at unconscious Ivan

He removed a fighter from a downed opponent like ALL refs do. It is their job.
Add to that, that it looked like McGregor was about to punch a tko'ed opponent -

You have to do better then that, or you will make me think that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Christ, you fuckers act like Goddard took his dick out and smacked Connie's mom in the face. Here's timeline to explain why people are pissed:

Conor jumped into the cage when he knew he wasn't allowed in, the ref and the officials told him to get the fuck out of the cage, with Goddard placing his hand on Gonad's chest, Gonad freaked out and pushed himself off of Goddard (that was the "shove" all you nuthuggers thought happened, Conor shoved himself), chases after Goddard, shoves him while screaming drunken obscenities at Marc, causing him to have to be restrained against the cage by officials. Conor's attempts to escape said restraint cause him to knock another official into the injured fighter who just had his brains turned into scrambled eggs. In the meantime, drunken dipshit is still ranting at Goddard and acting very aggressively, and you can tell the officials are worried something violent might happen. So they expel him, only for Conor to come right back and try to climb over the cage again. The official then tries to gently push his legs off, and the dipshit fucking assaults the official before security finally gets their heads out of their asses and kick this deranged lunatic out of the building.

And then after seeing this shitshow go down, people now have to watch as his fucking fans twist everything that happened so that it's the ref's fault, it's the commissioners fault, it's the fault of lax security, basically, everybody but the fucking guy who stormed the ring and acted like a jackass, because apparently, it's easier to do that than to just say "I like the guy, but he shouldn't have done that." And you wonder why a good portion of the fight audience doesn't like the fucking guy.

To be fair, it is only a little handful of McGregor fans who are defending him like that.

Best paragraph ITT

What made that look worse was Conor doing a little jump to avoid tripping over the downed fighters legs.

If you just isolate & look at the push, it was not very forceful
