Hope for Kane as Spurs confirm ankle injury not severe
Tottenham have confirmed that Harry Kane's ankle injury, suffered in the FA Cup win over Millwall, is not as serious as first feared.

Harry Kane is likely to return to action before the end of the season after Tottenham confirmed the striker's ankle injury is not as severe as first feared.

The England international lasted just eight minutes of Tottenham's 6-0 FA Cup thrashing of Millwall at White Hart Lane after injuring his ankle during an innocuous looking challenge with Jake Cooper.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino initially feared that the injury was "similar" to the one which had kept Kane out of 10 games in September and October.

But a Spurs statement confirmed: "We can confirm that Harry Kane sustained ligament damage to his right ankle during Sunday's FA Cup win against Millwall.

"The injury is similar to the one suffered by the forward against Sunderland in Sept last year, however it is not considered to be as severe.

"Harry will continue to be assessed by our medical staff while he undergoes his rehabilitation at our Training Centre."

Did Carragher stop Lukaku signing a new Everton deal?
A tweet by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has suggested Romelu Lukaku's contract negotiations at Everton have fallen through.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has joked that he is behind Romelu Lukaku's reported decision to turn down a new contract with Everton.

Lukaku's current contract runs until June 2019 and Everton manager Ronald Koeman had said that the Belgian international was "close" to signing a long-term extension to his deal at Goodison Park.

However, widespread reports on Tuesday suggested that Lukaku has turned down an offer from Everton as we wants a move to a Champions League club next season.

Carragher recently met with Lukaku for a television interview at Finch Farm and later responded to reports that the 23-year-old's new deal had fallen through.

Carragher, who donned the colours of his the Reds' rivals for the interview, tweeted: "I knew putting the Everton training kit on and going to the training ground to have a word with him would be worth it!"

The player's agent, Mini Raiola, had previously said that "99.9 per cent" of Lukaku's new deal had been agreed, but the club now appears to be in danger of losing the man who has scored 19 goals this season.

Lukaku joined Everton on a season-long loan from Chelsea in August 2013, before signing permanently for the Toffees in July 2014 for a record transfer fee of £28 million, and he has scored 73 goals in 147 appearances for the club.

Lol

Former non league player has got further in one season of the champions league than Arsenal have in the last 7

It's a minor miracle Sevilla are top 3 in Spain. It's been obvious the last few years they can't compete on multiple fronts. When they were winning EL's they would fall apart last couple months in LL. Interesting if they do that this year already somewhat surpassed expectations. Just like I had predicted, too thin of a squad especially with their hardcore playstyle and not top 8 in Europe talent.

Too bad they can't get one of the trash teams spot in the EL again :p

Leicester doesn't have top 8 talent either but it's not like they have tried much in the league and the big bounce teams almost always get with a new manager(especially after somewhat quitting on Ranieri the dirty cunts) could be enough to see them through. Impressive performance tonight. Their back line is looking like it did last year. Good for them, let's see how far the cinderella story goes. Nottingham Forest 2K17?

'Raneiri died for this'
