Pop up ads from sherdog or malware?

Sherdog on mobile is pretty much unusable for me. I get redirected about 15 seconds after opening the page every time now.

Yup it's progressed from a sporadic annoyance to pretty much being permanent. You would think the site owners would care about scaring away mobile traffic. If I hadn't been here so long I'd say fuck this site it's full of malware, and go to one of the many other mma sites. None of them do anything remotely like this.

It hacks your phone and takes in all information. The pop ups know my wifi and exact phone type. And I've been getting bombarded with non stop telemarket calls.

I am also receiving spam calls and texts. The sticky says not to complain about ads on the site basically. Well these are not traditional ads. They are malware, which is quite different.

I don't know I don't use any of their other stuff. I know it's not the mods/admins fault but this is annoying as fuck. The site is 100% unusable on my phone now, and now that others mentioned it I'm wondering if the spam calls and texts I've been getting are from this malware. I don't browse much else on my phone or give my number out anywhere.


Unacceptable for a site in 2017. Actual porn sites in the 90's weren't this malware infested.

Ffffff... is THAT why? Son of a bitch! Up until now, I'd never gotten a telemarketing call on any cell phone I've owned - ever. I was very careful about which sites I put my phone number into, but just recently they've started. I couldn't figure out why, and now I see this thread and this post and I find out that THIS is how they got my goddamn number.

I'm grateful for your information, and now I'm newly pissed off about it.
