I am looking past Alves. Much as I dislike Perry, Saturday should be an uneventful win that instills the hunger to see the Platted One truly tested.

Cowboy relishes the role of spoiler for young up and comers. He is everything that Perry should aspire to. Cowboy fights for the fun of it but the problem is he has fought everyone and is running out of opponents. Cowboy has earned the right to be fed a brutal but relatively easy win over Perry.

Perry was getting outclassed by washed up Ellenberger, if he doesn't KO Alves he is not winning any decision and Alves is way better than Ellenberger, Cerrone will just retire Perry

Cerrone's chin is slowly fading but he's a very good fighter

It's a 50/50 fight unless Mike Perry uses a lot of trash talking / mental warfare which has always affected Cowboy.

One kick to that damaged liver & Cowboy will immediately find himself in La La land.

This is a fun fight, and the time to make it is now, before Cerrone gets too old and damaged. The only problem is that I am a Bisping fan, and I think Cerrone has gotten too many easy matchups to get his 19 wins. He is in an easy position to break the Count's UFC win record.

Cerrone just went toe to toe with fucking Robbie Lawler and a lot of people thought he won. He would put this tomato can out in about 2 minutes.

He didn't beat Lawler, but I think you are overlooking Perry's win over Jake, a common opponent. Condit got a titleshot after beating Alves. Perry will prove he is ready this Saturday, and age and damage has a way of catching up to fighters like Cerrone.

Perry doesn't even deserve to look in the Octagon while Cerrone is in there.

Cowboy can submit him like a white belt, but maybe he would like to strike, still would beat Perry though.

Cowboy will act like some big shot veteran, like Perry is beneath him.

Then after the cage door closes we'll see him engage his thousand-yard stare after a few exchanges.

Good match-up. Perry is still unproven, but clearly talented. Cerrone is experienced, well-rounded, and tricky, but susceptible to pressure. Toss-up, leaning towards Perry TKO.
