Platinum Mike Perry Wants A Fight ASAP! (Update: Calls out Belal Muhammad)

Jake Ellenberger had like 15 straight knockout losses coming into that fight and he's bragging about beating that guy?

well people still think it's impressive to beat shogun

ANYBODY
ANYTIME
ANY PLACE

Some tough love advice for my boiiiii:

If you call out Lawler, don't respond to Belal Muhammad's offer to fight on Twitter and tag Sean Shelby.

All due respect to Belal, but Plat needs to get a(nother) ranked opponent.

Even the worst washed up fighter right now is not 125 in fight years. Noone is. Stop the crap. Before the elbow to the face, most of Ellenberger's past few KO losses were by TKO to the body or injury, and he's still signed. They would not keep him if he wasn't still a good, useful fighter.

You lost all credibility already with your saying Perry has no chin. Rant about his skillset all you want, but you can't take his chin and heart away....he ate plenty tough shots from other fighters. Just cause you are higher ranked doesn't mean you hit harder.

Ellenberger was 4 months removed from getting TKO'd by Masvidal and has several KO/TKO losses since his perceived prime 5 years ago. There is no arguing he is well past his prime. He's 175 years old in MMA years.

Well in fact Perry's chin is more than questionable. Jouban doesn't have big power and legit dropped him with a garden variety straight. Robbie might actually kill Perry.

Someone please post the slow motion gif of Jouban dropping Perry. Please.

exactly

:/

How many threads do we need to make about that Jouban card you dummies keep pulling. GSP lost to Matt Serra for crying out loud. Max Holloway got humiliated by Dustin Poirier. Anderson Silva got destroyed by two Japanese cans lol. Worse things have happened to higher ranked fighters. I can't imagine the deal breakers you haters hold to your date or would-be partner. Embarrassing standards.

The difference is that outside of those losses all the fighters you have mentioned have legitimate wins against elite competition. Jouban isn't even elite but he is the best guy Perry has faced and he lost to him handily. That's the difference.

Give him someone ranked between 7-12.

I'm fine with him fighting anyone though. Plat likes to keep active so just keep feeding the man.

I wish a girl looked at me the way The Platinum Princess looks at Mike.

The Jouban fight was a fluke, bad luck, a once in a lifetime mistake. In the future it will be remembered like Hamill vs Jones or Duffy vs Mcgregor. Platinum is the future of mma. If you don't have the knowledge to understand that the black belt hands of Platinum Mike Perry is gonna change the face of the sport, then u are just a moronic imbecile hater. And u should go back to watching WWE.

Alhamdulillah - phunky

If nobody interesting is available then let Alves get beaten up next

The haters will whine about Alves not being ranked high enough. The goalposts will continue to get shifted.

Such dumb comparisons. GSP was the WW champ at that time, he beat some of the best fighters of all time in their prime including Penn and Matt Hughes. Holloway had his UFC debut against Poirier, he was like 20 or 21 at that time, he had 4 professional fights. Stop making dumb comparisons. Aluminum is overrated as fuck, he hasn't proven shit yet. For people to say that Alves missed his chance and whatnot when it's Aluminum that should be begging for this fight...it's ridiculous. Thiago is a giant step forward in the right direction and his first real test. If he moves past Alves then you can SLOWLY start jumping on that bandwagon. But now? What the fuck has he done or proven? Absolultely nothing. He's beating absolute cans.

They aren't perfect comparisons but they weren't meant to be, dumb dumb. You can hardly find a perfect analogy between fights/fighters anywhere in any discussion. But here the idea is that Mike Perry is still fucking growing as a fighter. Holloway and GSP at least were FINISHED. Perry has never been finished in the octagon. Perry also finished all of his opponents in his wins so far, you can't say the same about the other top fighters who got destroyed by cans in their earlier days.

Its hilarious how haters who cling onto the JoubRAN fight like it is validation that Platinum Mike Perry can never learn from it should know that Platinum Mike Perry's fight against JoubRAN was not really a loss for Perry in the long run but more of a loss for JoubRAN for one example having to pull out his next fight due to fracturing his foot because of the running and now destroyed in his next 2 fights by Gunnar & Price.

When Platinum Mike Perry actually landed he had JoubRAN stumbling around like an infantile goof ass. The problem began when JoubRAN stopped actually fighting and started running away to land one flash in the pan punch and some baby leg kicks.

While JoubRAN got tooled when he got to fight a ranked opponent in his next fight and also just got destroyed by Price.

Platinum Mike Perry is winning over JoubRAN in the long run.

Platinum Mike Perry actually stepped up and destroyed a Top 15 opponent in Jake Ellenberger in his next fight who was 1-1 prior to the Platinum Mike Perry fight and was the first to stop The Immortal Matt Brown with strikes.

But seriously, his last performance over a highly ranked veteran in Ellenberger should honestly got him a title eliminator fight against Lawler/Cerrone at the time.

Hell if Masvidal got a title eliminator fight against Cerrone after beating Ellenberger then Platinum should get a title eliminator fight as well.

Stepping up on 3 days notice to destroy an MMA fighter named Alex Reyes who was on a 13 fight finishing streak who had nothing to lose and everything to gain whereas he was suppose to destroy the former title challenger Thiago Alves.

The incredible performance against the dangerous Reyes alone should have got him a step up in competition in this case calling out the former champ Robbie Lawler shows Platinum Mike Perry wants to fight a higher level of competition and someone who would actually fight him.

Losing the marathon against JoubRAN has made Platinum Mike Perry a better fighter as evident with his last 2 destructive performances.

The fight with muhammad make sense. Need to see how he does against a wrestler.

did you even watch the Ellenberger Masvidal fight? :D tell us how it ended without googling it

Lawler fight isn't going to happen, so if Perry is ready, let him fight. Hopefully a well-rounded WW, not necessarily top10.

Shogun doesn't stink tho. He's just incredibly inconsistent. Besides, he's had 3 straight wins now. He'll probably get KTFO in his next fight before beating a top 5 guy again. But Jake? I think I could take him at this point.

Sure did. It was a strange stoppage when Ellenberger got his foot caught in a gap near the cage. It’s irrelevant because my point is he sustained brain damage just 4 months prior. He could have been hit by an asteroid in the dome and my point would still be valid.

Come on Mike. Need to fight a top 10 opponent. Not take a step back. How about the Usman fight...
