Platinum Mike Perry talks after the Ponzinibbio fight

Platinum is also great with his prime age predictions. He'd make Asians proud.

He said the same things I've been saying. The fight was a lot closer then the haters are giving it credit for, and he got poked in the eye, but whatever man. It is what it is.

yeah, it was a close fight...anyone who disputes that should be easy to dismiss as clueless.

Having said that, I don't think there is any rational argument for claiming that Perry should have won, and Perry himself is making no such claim.

What is weird is Perry thinking it should have been a split instead of unanimous...isn't that essentially saying "I'm ok with the loss, but one of the three judges should have said I won"? That seems to make little sense.

the eye poke had no bearing on the outcome...I think some people are mad because of Ponz' history, while some others are desperately clinging to some reason for the loss, rather than simply accepting that a relatively one-dimensional Perry ran into a more well-rounded fighter who displayed better cardio and who implemented a decent game plan.

I wish all fans could just put the fight into proper perspective instead of adopting extreme positions. Mocking Perry for this loss is just as retarded as crying about it. It was a great fight and Perry will be back...but hopefully the "Platinum GOAT" shertads can settle down for a little while lol

I agree, with just about everything you said, I will say Mike isn't the first fighter I've heard say the fight should have at least been a split decision. I guess their thinking must be they thought the fight was close enough that at least 1 judge should have saw it their way. All I know is, it was 1-1 after 2 and the 3rd was up for grabs until the spinning back-fist takedown, which won the round and the fight for Ponz. Not bad for a guy without top 10 caliber skills & cardio hanging with a top 10 rated opponent with the fight up for grabs until the final 3 minutes of the contest.

Mike will learn and become a better fighter from this, either way I'm a Platinum Mike Perry fan and always will be. Almost all my favorite fighters weren't champions in the UFC, that's not a requirement for me to be a diehard fan, just come to fight and give it all you have is what I'm a fan of.

Lol, this vid has gone a long way in swaying me from hating on Mike Perry.

What a great attitude to take after a loss.

(listening to his bitch bitch in the background made me want to domestically abuse her)
I thought the same. Good attitude. Trying to man up.

Exactly.

I criticized BJ Penn relentlessly for making excuses for his losses instead of manning up and saying "I lost but I'm gonna fix the holes my game so it doesn't happen again!"...if you mentally excuse the loss as "robbery" or that your opponent somehow "cheated", then you're not learning shit from it and beginning the journey to becoming a better fighter.

I respect the shit out of Mike Perry for taking the loss the right way.

He’s had 6 fights in the UFC now. He hasn’t improved any part of his game or developed any new skills since his first fight.

1 dimensional striking, bad footwork, no strike defense, no ground game, no wrestling, no grappling, minimal fight IQ and as if those weren’t bad enough it’s topped off with a low gas tank. His saving grace has been his chin but it’s not going to bail him out every time.

I appreciate how active he’s been and love him or hate him he’s entertaining but he should take more than a few months off and focus on his weaknesses and bring an improved/better version of himself.

Dude needs to hit the roadwork, leave princess in the kitchen and join a real camp. Imagine if he trained with Bang/TJ I could see them helping him vastly.

I like him now more. #HUMBLE . He knows what to work on. Cardio ... Being more well-rounded. Give the guy some time to work on his skills and then... #HEADCLEANOFF !!!

Santiago was just the better guy, he has more skills than Perry, who i'm afraid, isn't evolving even when they showed him training grappling.

And you sound British.

Brits are just Canadians with worse education and bad teeth.

oklahoma born and raised. i'm glad you played the nationality card first b/c i almost did in my last post. i was going to say something generic like "people like you are why nobody likes americans" but then i remembered that i don't give a shit about what other countries think of us and i kind of like how we're seen as the assholes and alpha males/females of the world so i didn't say it

Anyway now for my retort: you're a f*g

I wonder if he bangs his girl vaginally or ananlly after an L. she prob saves anal for Wins only, so he has something to strive for
Anal doesnt actually feel better. Its just the NWO trying to corrupt you with porn. Join the imagination fap revolution today.

He's a ton of fun to watch. I think people dislike him because of his insufferable fanbase, not because of the man himself. He put up a good fight. Clearly won round 1. However, I don't think there's an argument to be made for rounds 2 or 3 going to Perry. After seeing some Sherdoggers commenting on how he got robbed, I can't help but wonder how many alt accounts Cecil Peoples has on here.

Mate is not a word Americans use

Who wasn't a cocky asshole when there were 25? Lets be real. If you could kick ass at that age, you were an ass about it. I have been there and done that.

An American commenting on a poor educational system?

That's priceless... what's the education rank in your first world country?

UK is ranked 6th in the world, Canada 7th. USA sits at 14th. When your country has a lower educational ranking than Poland....

How's that free health care of yours working out for you? Ours is great (and Britains are working out quite nicely). Oh wait...
