lol.

In all seriousness, when PRIDE was around, testing in UFC was about as useful as no testing at all.

The fact that Barnett was managing to fail every other event as exception.

So bashing PRIDE for steroids is kinda silly and dishonest.

The Best Eva.

Would be awesome if Baroni checks into this thread and sets the record straight.

Well, Nog, Shogun, Anderson, Rampage and Werdum all won belts so I dont know if he is talking about them.

Heath Herring had already been fighting a long time. He beat Kongo but then his career ended after facing pre-USADA and pre-diverticulitis Brock.

Hendo pretty much did just as we all expected. Won most of the fights he was supposed to win but lost to some elite guys but nobody cared because he was 40+ years old and was a legend.

Wanderlei had a few good fights in the UFC but lost a few he should have won but he was already on the downswing having been knocked out Cro Cop and Hendo in his last two fights in PRIDE.

The only PRIDE fighters that seriously underperformed in the UFC were Gomi, RT Sokoudjou, Kazuhiro Nakamura, Mishima

Could be Cro Cop but Mirko already had 120 fights at that point.

Maybe he is talking about his buddy Coleman but Coleman was already old and past it by that point

I think Phil is dead on. The commission tests were there to prevent things from getting too reckless and out of control, that's it. I also think its bc UFC fighters were no worse than their PRIDE counterparts but at the time people thought fighting in PRIDE=would maul UFC fighters.

Shogun would fit the bill for this claim, although we blamed the knee surgerys

If this is news to you there are some things in the way you observe what goes on around you that need changing.

The ufc was more corrupted than Pride also

He made some valid points, and is obviously knowledgeable on both subjects, the MMA and steroids. He made a couple of interesting comments though, that seemed to have slipped by. He said guys using turinabol might need to use Viagra, because of how it will act on males. That would explain a whole lot, on why these guys have suddenly all needed to use their dick pills, and where the excuse originally came from with Anderson. He is clearly speaking from experience.

All of us Sherbros have been questioning why guys in top physical shape, and at young ages would suddenly need to use Viagra. Jones excuse that his dick is just too big is one of the most ridiculous and delusional things I have ever heard anyone say, well besides that a guy named Robert Lee can offend people because of his name. But seriously, if the council bought that line of bullshit, then they are incredibly gullible and naïve.

I think only us old dudes will respond to this, because we understand it. I think He makes a good point. Anderson went through other orgs before he landed in UFC and had time to adapt to whatever PEDs you could get away with. Shogun got smashed by Forrest which shocked all of us and he certainly didn't look like himself, ACL injury or not. Werdum didn't do so great until he left for SF, then came back. Cro Cop was a disaster, Werdum was average, Hendo lost his first returning match but he adapted well. Page was the only one who had immediate success, and he was the only one that I thought never used in PRIDE.

It was clear with a lot of them that whatever they were using in PRIDE, they stopped; at least initially. Now, whether their UFC opponents were using, I don't know. We have to guess.

I can see it from the perspective that pride fighters could juice without testing and didn't know how it worked with testing and stppped for a while so they could learn the rules
