PBC Kownacki-Washington Set For 1/26 FOX Show From Barclays

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Kownacki-Washington will be part of a FOX broadcast that night at Barclays Center. Kownacki-Washington was first reported early Tuesday morning by ringpolska.pl.

The Kownacki-Washington bout will be officially announced Tuesday afternoon at a press conference in Los Angeles. During that expansive event, Premier Boxing Champions is expected to unveil at least its main events for FOX and FS1 broadcasts through March as part of the network’s new deal with Al Haymon’s organization.

Kownacki-Washington won’t be the main event January 26.

The Pole wins this easily imo, he is legitimately a top 10 talent. Washington fights like a guy who has to think too much about what he is doing...Kownacki's offense just flows like an angry red swarm of fists. TKO in 8.

I agree with you about Washington's shortcomings & Kownacki's likely path to victory but the Polish-born fighter's defense leaves a whole lot to be desired. Especially in his last two fights in which he was hospitalized after his KO victory over Iago Kiladze & went life & death with Chas Martin.
Luckily for Kownacki however is that Washington isn't as much of a volume puncher as either of those men. So, he probably won't hit him as often. But, Washington does have a decent jab that may be able to trouble him if he's able to establish it & keep Kownacki on the outside. We shall see.
