I was thinking I might get to platinum before the season ends but today I am on an epic 8 or 9 game losing streak. I know I should have logged a long time ago but I am curious to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Lol! I have done the rabbit hole thing before. If you think overwatch is going to run out of turds to throw at you then you are sorely mistaken.

I went from plat to silver last season by doing the rabbit hole. The worst part is, it was turd City for a month afterwards until I finally took a while off and my mmr cooled down.

The rabbit hole really does fuck your mmr for a long time.

Good Escort is my favorite. CTP is ok but my main Rein isn't as effective on those maps so I have to use Winston or Zarya which I'm not as familiar with.

I finally made it into gold this season never thought I would. I've noticed my main issue is attackers are always played by the worst people. So many times now I've ended up with gold in hero damage/kills as a tank. While soldier and Reaper are close behind it's still not good enough.

I tend to tank if dps instalocks (which is the majority of the time) and this was me playing with D.Va and Winston. I'd have gold kills a good amount of the time and its no wonder why we'd lose a bunch of games.

haven't played comp yet. I've had overwatch for over a year now but just started getting into it, im 1 level away from being permitted to play comp. I've heard its super toxic there, people bash you for playing widow, Mei, Bastion, Hanzo, or Symmetra.

at the same time it would be refreshing to get out of the clusterfuck of people in quckplay who don't care about the objective

It can still be fun but I can't confidently say it's going to be any different for you in comp man. At least depending on where you place in your placement matches. If you land in bronze-gold, your teams are going to be toxic and you'll never get good composition. You'll have 4 dps and your tank will have gold kills yet its everyone else's fault somehow.

I'm platinum rank and its still really difficult for me to ever go on streaks unless I'm 5 stacked in a group and we're actually working together. A piece of advice too. You'll gain more SR quicker if you dedicate your time to 1 hero, especially a healer. Idk what type of system Blizzard uses but they don't reward for switching around a lot.

A good Zenyatta can be lethal. When I first started playing Overwatch I used a lot of Reaper. I like McCree too, although I don't use him too often. His survivability kinda sucks.

I used D.Va, Winston and lately when I get a chance to DPS I've gotten damn good with Doomfist.

D.Va is getting a sort of reworked. Defense matrix is going to be nerfed, possibly by up to 50%. In exchange she'll now be able to fire fusion cannon's while she flies. In addition, receiving a new ability called "Micro Missles".

This is the definition they gave for this new ability: "D.va launches a long salvo of small missles that explode on impact dealing damage in a small radius around them. This ability can be used while using other abilities as well as while using her fusion cannons". Sounds almost like a mini version of pharah's ult rockets or 76's helix rockets. Sounds OP that she can use them while in defense matrix or while flying/shooting her fusion cannons.

Goes on to say they wanted to work on making D.Va more aggressive but not as OP with the defense matrix. Have to be more strategic when using it now.

Yeah, I'm just glad they're supplementing the nerf with other abilities. She won't be so OP but she'll still be viable. They should have had a better plan in place for Roadhog.

The micro missiles open up new options against enemies like Pharah? Good luck hitting her with missiles. It's difficult for even a good soldier to hit Pharah with helix.


Unless they go full mecha and give her a homing option or something, fuck that.

Well, D.Va will be able to fire the micro missiles as well as her regular cannons while flying so she can fly directly as a pharah and fire both, so I could see how it could work.

Too be fair her DM is four seconds long with a 10 second cool down to get back to full strength.

She'll go the roadhog way. Losing all tanking ability and Becoming just a large dps with lots of health.
A new dps style will have to be adapted for her, where dm won't be anything anyone can count on to block damage. So why even pick her as a tank? I don't this new tanking style of blocking bullets with your face that dva and roadhog are using.

I feel like tanking will become nearly obsolete, with the remaining tanks acting like dps or flankers.
