Over/Under 500k PPV buys:Woodley vs Covington

Depends on the undercard and where/when the fight is being held. It can certainly do 250k- 300k and I think it will. To get to 500k would require a top notch card, a great location *Las Vegas* and Colby/Woodley hyping it like it's nobodys business.

Woodley is rumored to return at ufc 228 September 8th, according to Dana. Keep in mind woodley sold over 300k PPVs for ufc 201/209. Colby is a bigger draw than Lawler or Thompson. Plus they have a rivalry going on.

UFC must promote this grudge match right with plenty of racial undertones ala Conor/Floyd (Don’t shoot the messenger, you know this is how it needs to be marketed to sell).

Assuming the main card looks something like this I say over 500k buys, and the highest selling PPV of 2018.

Woodley vs Covington
Usman vs Till
Rockhold vs Gustafsson
(Insert crappy WMMA matchup because unlikely it’s an all male main card)
Weidman vs Branch

yeah basically based on recent PPV buys, 300k is pushing it. We'll see how 226 goes.

Cringington is not a draw. co-main event on a stacked card and it sold under 300k. No one cares about him outside of TS, Colby himself, and his and TS’ numerous alt accounts. Glad this was established.


Cringey and Woodley both aren’t draws. They will maybe be a co-main on a mega card.
