Im afraid Edgar would derail another exciting prospect. Keep him away from brian.
Probably not immediately, especially if Edgar beats Holloway.
How about Ortega vs. Rodriguez?
That actually might be a decent match-up. with as active as Ortega is off his back.
Good fight. Both scrap. And the grappling would be crazy. Might be a little to early for Ortega at the moment.
Edgar has literally fought like 3 or 4 times solely because the champ is sidelined/injured/vacant. Let the dude get his TS
is Edgar vs Holloway actually booked?
I agree, however frankie would need to be very careful with his takedowns. We saw how the ortega-moicano was an all out war and it only took one take down for ortega to end the fight within 3 seconds. The dude is a wizard off his back.
This fight should not happen until Holloway-Edgar happens
Sure, but let him scrap with Max first.
Edgar is getting the next title shot. Ortega should fight Lamas
he got one and has only beat yair and little heathen since he lost it... not like he is on a big run...
I haven't seen a date set for it; Dana White said it would definitely take place before the end of the year. He may not be 100% reliable but after that statement, I can't imagine Edgar happily agreeing to fight Ortega instead.
It could be compelling if it hits the ground. Either Ortega somehow hurts him from standing up and subs Edgar, or Ortega gets boxed up for 3 rounds. I would pick the latter to happen.,
He's beaten everyone he's fought except Aldo. It seems to me a bit silly to pretend that a guy who loses a title fight suddenly becomes an unranked fighter, especially when he hasn't lost any non-title fights.
It could be good. I remember back in the days when Erick El Terrible Perez would take on Marco Barrera. This one could be a classic Mexican slugfest like that. Might be worth watching will drinking cheap tequila at a Mexican bar if you live in a carry-concealed state... itherwise stay out of there, order some Del Taco and enjoy the fight.
unranked?? i dont think that at all, he is up there for sure! just don't see him as the clear cut next in line for holloway.
max is a tough match up for answer, great tdd solid chin and long.
Edgar vs. Holloway
Ortega vs. Lamas
Aldo vs. Cub
The matches make themselves, really.
If Frankie can't beat Holloway it's prob curtains.
I do but I realise reasonable people could disagree. However, in terms of rankings, there is a vast middle ground between Holloway and Ortega. Surely Edgar is closer to the former than the latter?
