On a Scale of 1-10 How Good is Cerrone’s Grappling?

Yeah a strong 7 indeed.

He's good. Good enough to submit guys like Perry. But he's not elite in his ground game. But still pretty darn good.

Yeah, honestly by 7-8 was probably a little conservative. I mean, 17 wins by sub vsm 1 loss by sub pretty much says it all.

What? Oliviera is super legit on the ground. One of the few calf slicer finishes in the UFC. He's slick man.

Why are you comparing Cerrone to pure grapplers and pure strikers? This is an MMA discussion board and we are discussing an MMA fighter.

that's being harsh with in the Zuffa/WME orgs he has more subs then Maia I'm not saying he near Maia lvl but he's higher then a 4 he's probably a 6 or 7.
 
Maybe a 6.5-7/10. He would get worked by any high level grappling specialist. Much better than the average fighter tho

Its elite for MMA if you take everything into account. There's guys that are better obviously, but his is extremely effective.

Yes and he's and MMA fighter, so compare him to MMA fighters. Have you ever heard the phrase apples and oranges? Cerrone hasn't boxed professionally or done sub grappling at a high level so the comparison you were trying to make is impossible.

Do the comparison you can actually do like everyone else is which is to compare him to other MMA fighters.

Not sure if you knew but WEC was a top promotion back in the day. If he is a 4 in both of these categories how has he had such a solid career?

If Maia is a 10, when Cowboy is around 8.
Great grappling, just want him to go for more TDs.
