Not going to happen, Deontay has already been calling for a rematch in America, he's not stupid, he know's he was on the brink of losing.
Wilder will fight there if the money is right. Not sure why people doubt him. He was set to fight Povetkin in his back yard.
if that fight was in russia, im pretty sure a lot of oligarchs were pumping money into it. gave him a lot of money to loose tbh.
Wilder won't come to Manchester. LV seems legit.
Old Trafford would be epic .
Fury is the real champ, he fought in Wilders backyard . Now it's time for Wilder to fight in Fury's backyard.
(In so much as a tinker could ever have a backyard.)
Wilder cares about one thing, and that is his money. Get the money right and hell fight anywhere.
What is Old Trafford anyway? Seems that those across the pond get excited when that place is brought up.
The home of Man Utd. Not sure what an appropriate comparison would be though, Fenway Park maybe?
Ahhh ok Ive definitely heard that name a lot. Makes sense. Would Fury sell well there?
Ill come over the pond for some pints and we can go full Green Street Hooligans.
Its fair for Fury to get the rematch in the UK now. Plus the atmosphere would be electric, UK buys would easily break a million (probably by a lot) and I dont think it would necessarily hurt the US buys all that much. It'd be on Saturday afternoon for Americans so perfectly viable.
I hope it happens there. Those crowds are wild.
The loss of ppv revenue will keep the fight in America . Brits gotta realize the money is in America when ppv is involved.
not really aj fights make way more money than any deontays wilders fights, and america ppv been going down hill
In the case of Fury/Wilder or AJ/Wilder you would probably get more overall PPV revenue doing the fight in the UK because its relatively convenient for both audiences.
UK based fight = evening for Brits, afternoon for Americans.
US based fight = evening for Americans, early hours of the morning for Brits.
Fury doesnt sell well in his own fucking garden, he has to travel to get fights, much like BJS does as his style is not considered attractive to the general boxing public.
The Wilder-Fury rematch, i dont think will happen in the UK, as there is little market for it as Fury isnt popular, and Wilder is Wilder.
Its less than an hours drive for me, and i still wouldnt bother going.
This. Frank Warren knows he has to provide a guarantee that equals or surpasses the Canelo Golovkin numbers, and industry will back up this claim. Wherever it is in the UK, they have to fork up the Vegas total revenue (including the broadcast). Once Warren has to explain this to Fury (and the Gypsie King acknowledges) Warren will have convinced Fury for the more guaranteed cash. Too much money in Vegas. I even see 50/50 in Vegas. That’s at least 50 million a piece. So the UK PPV and Gate Sales would have to match Vegas.
This fight made 30+ mil on PPV. Go to the start button on Windows or the search bar on OSX, type “calculator” and do 400k x $75. The whole hate brigade said Wilder vs Fury would do bad numbers considering these two’s metrics in the past...
Low and behold a staggering 400k buys at a 75 dollar premium.
After you use the calculator. Press Shut Down computer. It would be interesting if you ever press the power button on again.
And that’s all she wrote!
Maybe for casuals that makes sense, but Im surprised you wouldnt take advantage of it.
If you come over for the fight, i'll go to the fight with you, how about that?
Old Trafford would provide an amazing atmosphere, but the fight will make less money in Britain. Factoring that in, Fury's side probably has to give a little extra in negotiations to make the fight there. Considering how easy the negotiations were the first time out (and Fury's apparent lack of interest in money, although, one can only take that so seriously), I'm optimistic this can get made.
