Decided to start lifting seriously, want to get stronger and bigger.

I have a bit of lifting experience, but i had a long layoff from lifting, so i'm starting lighter and will do a LP program first (GSLP).

Age:23
Height:180cm
Weight:81kg

Wanna get bigger, but i'm not a big eater + it's summer, so i'm more active and i don't have a big appettite when it's hot. It would be good to gain atleast 2 kg's during it. Will update with pre and post pics once autumn starts.

I will be doing GSLP (with some added assistance to make it more fun) until i stall and then switch to Madcow's 5x5.

Glory awaits you in Valhalla!

Nice one dude; I'm going to get back on the GSLP wagon once I've got this house move out of the way. See you on the road (in the distance..!).

Edit: Also, I always read your name as HotBorscht e.g. soup. Is that way it comes from or am I way off?

Good luck with your lifting progress!

Yes, my nickname comes from the soup name, didn't know at the time how to write it correctly in english hehe.

20kg plates are too big in diameter, so had to stand on a floor mat. Felt pretty heavy, don't know why, either because of the grip slipping (forgot to take chalk) or because i'm still not used working out so early in the morning. Either way good session.

Cool to see you logging again. I need to start a new one but lately just using a pen and paper has been working just fine

Feels good.

P.S. An old friend called me, said he wants to return to training BJJ (we used to train together, but then he quit). Brought back some good memories. Haven't trained BJJ almost for 2 months now, miss it sometimes. But i enjoy lifting at the moment much more, than i enjoyed BJJ, so I feel like i will get more out of it for myself. Might add some boxing privates if i get bored of only lifting.

Missed gym on monday due to a headache.

I got fucked by costochondirits again. Missing gym until it heals. Hope it heals till next week.

Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). Very unpleasant feeling. Basically it's pain in the chest (usually in the sternum). It's painful plus it feels like if you got some kind of a pressure in the sternum and you can pop it by stretching it out. I think i usually get this after too much slouching on work/couch and not training/stretching rear delts enough. I tell you, these sitting jobs are really killing you :/.

Thanks on the progress.

Food poisoned on the last week. Was shitting myself all day long for two days straight.

Squats felt really heavy, that's what you get for having a big break and being sick.

Bench press feels ok, but squats feel too heavy for the second time already. I think i will do a deload and won't do 5kg jumps on squat even if i hit 10+ reps on the last set.
