I was hoping that Cindy vs Davis would look like the first round through out cause that round was awesome. I thought that Cindy was going to win until the triangle at the very end. The cards said otherwise though. Using the old rules, I don't see how she loses so obviously on the cards. New rules makes more sense...but they weren't under them. Fucking commissions all need to catch up & get on the same page already. But also when the fight was that close & depended on a hail mary sub attempt, can't really be mad to at the decision regardless of who won.

Cindy is still the modern day female Royce to me because holy fucking shit her striking is unbelievably more non-existent than I remembered. Probably because she usually gets the sub & you don't have to see her attempt to strike.

I think she was also effected by the UFC jits...but still doesn't excuse how one dimensional she is. I don't know if that's fixable at this point.

    & Megan wrecks her in a rematch... :p ;)

214 is in Anaheim & presumably DC will be on it too. Not the worst of a situation for Cyborg as your opponent.

    (assuming the fight happened there)

    Totally agree.

According to Joanna she had 46 amateur MT/kickboxing scraps, losing 3 - all to Shevchenko in the IFMA world championships.

Pro MT/kickboxing record 29-4-1, the four defeats being to Dayergi Gozde in Istanbul, Amanda Kelly in Manchester, Vandarieva in Minsk and Rattanapundit in Bangkok. The draw was with Catarina Valerio in Lisbon.

Add in 15 MMA contests (two ammy) and 4 boxing matches - 2 defeats to Paczka, a European bronze medalist and Kruk, a world silver medalist.

Anyway by my arithmetic that makes the Andrade fight Jedrzejczyk's 100th combat sport outing.

The Dandois/Davis fight is the rocket fuel for WMMA haters. The fact that a woman with striking as embarrassing as Cindy can fight in the UFC and even worse, land strikes on a woman who is ranked in the top 10 like Davis is cringe worthy.

I've seen 3 year olds who throw better strikes than Cindy. She's been a pro fighter for years. Blows my mind.

We knew it was gonna be like that beforehand though, also the UFC knew that which is why they didn't want her before (win over Canderson and some favours for Miesha probably got them to cave in - Miesha also got Mazanay in), probably why Invicta aren't keen on featuring her either.

Hopefully Maia can become champ (UFC don't seem to want that either funnily enough) and we can use him as a shield.

I was more surprised by how bad Davis looked, as someone at the 'more legit' end of the division she didn't look much if at all better. Which straps a booster onto that hater rocket.

I'd like to see Dandois vs Betch for the lolz next but Betch is too highly ranked* (I also want Aldana vs Betch but there's the same problem). I actually think Dandois could win that. Maybe after Holly KO's her Betch will fall into range...

    *more hater fuel

That's the reason why I never want to see a Cindy/Cyborg fight, it would be absolute murder.

Do you guys think the UFC will pit Danielle Taylor vs Cynthia Calvillo next
    or develop them separately?

And since we're talking about Cindy Dandois: where does she go if she ultimately is cut? She and Invicta likely burned that bridge.

I don't think Danielle has a potential to become a star. She throw like 3 punches at Moroz, she barely win agaist Ham, and now barely win against Penne. They might actually book this fight to feed Taylor to Cynthia.

    btw.
    Joanna vs. Andrade
    Karolina vs. Claudia
    Agnieszka vs. Porto

Are we gonna see Poland vs. Brazil at Survivor Series? :D

Damn, impressive. Thanks for doing the math.

Yeah, sort of like Jake Shields. Sure, he is not as bad as her, but the point remains.

    Bellator?

Now that I finally watched the fight in full (instead of just small snippets that focused on the bad striking...) I have to say all of the grappling was pretty exciting. All in all an a lot more entertaining fight than I would have expected from the comments.

But yeah, Cindy's striking really looked horrible.

    Probably not, imo.

Still not sure how Cindy - Megan II would go tho :p

Eh, I'd rather not have a Bethe - Cindy figh tbh.

Imo what might be a good idea is to put Dandois against "pure" strikers. That way there should be a good chance that either a) Cindy takes them down and subs them quickly or b) they are able to shine against Cindy's bad striking and knock her out (a la Holm* - Rousey)

    * I actually had suggested before (not sure if it was here or on BE) that they should use (or try to use..) Cindy as a bounce back fight for Holly.

The amount of acai juice those Brazilians have drunk the Poles might feel like they're already in the Survivor Series <6>

fortunately ostsee genes need no adulteration in that department so I hope the Poles go 3-0 (unfortunately only 1 fight is 5 rounds so Brazilian acai cardio won't be in jeopardy)

Woodley is a rough match up for him with his wrestling & strength. Demian will need a miracle if you ask me.

Totally this. Looked better against Sara who beat her pretty easily.

    I can see it happening.

I think she'll get ONE more chance. Not sure who against.

ALL Megan has to do is a full camp of grappling & TDD, hah.

She'll be first champ. Happy for Val!

Give her an intro fight, pray she wins (because this is Bellator, where all good plans and ideas fail miserably), then match her against Macfarlane for the title.

I'd say Artaega but she seems primed to deliver an upset.
