That shit was hilarious. DQ is too harsh, but a fine is...fine, and stings on smaller shows. "Unsportsmanlike conduct" would be the ruling.

Rule 22 clearly states " No unsportsman like conduct that causes injury to opponent." There was no injury sustainted, therefore they could not use that reason. So what reason is there? Because he hurt their feelings. Panzees.

The rules are worded so you can override them with the ref's freedom. Anything from taunting, speaking to your opponent or various fouls can be deemed enough for a DQ based on the situation. The ref decides based on what's going on which vague point to enforce, as you can't accurately write down a dynamic situation.
