Not Sure Semtex is The Right Test for MVP...

I understand that we all wanna see him tested, but...

tbh, I believe MVP´s gonna toy with him, with his footwork & reach...

What U Say?
who the hell cares if its the right test or not. Its a test and a bump up im competition. Casual fans always find something to complain about. smh I think everyone would agree its a great fight to make and I personally cant wait to see it

On a side note, are you and The Reed the same person? You both have over 6,000 posts but barely any likes, and you guys keep liking each others posts.
If two people point out what a moron you are within 5 minutes of each other, maybe, just maybe, you're just a moron.

It´s coz Im a noob & started watching in 2018, seems different from Pro-wrasslin´...
Hopefully, I´ll learn from OGs like ya..

Not sure why people are acting like Daley is a bum. The guy has bricks for hands and can put anyone away.

not about Semtex being a bum, it´s about the skillset match-up here...

I see MVP winning without much effort.
I'm gonna be honest and ask: Is really 2018 Daley a way bigger threat than Gonzalez?

Yes Daley is.

Fernando is a jack of all trades he can hang in any situation but isn't a specialist really.Daley has big holes in his game but they aren't in the striking department.

This is mvps toughest fight to date because Daley isn't intimidated to bang and has serious ko power. We seen Larkin getting the better of him only to see Daley time him and drop a bomb on his chin.

This is his first elite striker and it will be fun to see him tested with a guy who has seen alot of striking styles and the bad blood adds an excellent x factor.

the truth is that, even if he wins, wont really answer the questions about him: is he really elite? can he deal with [elite] wrestlers?

It won't answer the grappling questions but it will solidify the hype on his striking.

I suppose one question answered per fight lol

If he beats Daley whoever he faces next will be an elite guy so let's enjoy the progression.

yeah, still...dat size/reach/footwork difference though...

Daley just KO'd Larkin and Brennan Ward last year. He has a weakness to people who can exploit holes in his grappling game but MVP isn't a grappler. It won't be a test of MVP's grappling or whatever but it'll tell us if his striking is among the best in MMA and weather or not he can remain composed enough not to get flash KO'd like former top 10 Larkin.
Not accurate. Daley will stall against guys who can hurt him. Not just wrestling.

Examples?
The two that stand out were Misaki and Gonzalez.

When he fought Misaki he was tentative and went for takedowns when he got beat to the punch.

Gonzalez was in KB but same story, only leg kicks.

Daley will fight safe when he has to. His first 2 fights in Bellator were very unimpressive. He had pressure to perform and he won but not impressively.

Styles make fights and this will be a good fight for sure.

MVP has some physical advantages but Daley has a good reach too and twice the lower in his hands. If he's not worried about being taken down he will open up more as well.

Definitely a tough fight we seen it against larkin.

MvP via Venom in Semtex's blood, slow deff

Decent fight, but it might be a little late. I have a feeling Daley is approaching sharp decline.

For the longest time I assumed Daley would win. The closer we get to them fighting I feel like MVP might indeed take it.

I still can't believe he actually signed up to fight a real legit WW fighter

Even if it is a great style matchup for him, at least he's finally manning up and fighting someone decent

And if he wins he basically has to fight an elite talent afterwards

I agree. Daley is past his prime, has no ground game, and his striking, though powerful and quick, is very traditional (i.e. easy to slip and counter for an advanced striker like MVP). All this being said, he’s one of the few legit competitors that MVP has faced in his career.

stop saying he might "flash" KO MVP

edit - I know you're not hating but it just erks me

sorry buddeh

I think so too. Semtex, as far as combo of name value and ability, is his biggest fight, but a pressure wrestler would be tougher. Daley can't keep up with his footwork. He'd have to catch him coming in, imo.

Of course its a huge test, Daley fought with legends of the sports and beats lots of them.
