Social Not fair’: World cycling bronze medalist cries foul after transgender woman wins gold

A person who was born a man has stronger and thicker muscle fibres, so yeah I find it not fair for trans ppl to compete with women. If this continues we will need tranny leagues.

In athletics I believe certain events(mid distance running mostly) have recently introduced limits on the testosterone levels women can have due to issues with intersex women have an advantage, so basically if you want to complete you need to be taking test blockers to take you below that level.

It is pretty much universal that men have around a 10% performance advantage on women in physically based sports.

Im not sure exactly when it happened, but we as a society have jumped the fucking shark.

if you are born a dude you are ALWAYS.A.DUDE. No matter what you want to be called and present yourself as. Cant believe we allow this shit. There should have been riots in the streets when that one cowardly dude beat up girls in MMA.

Womens sports though are fundamentally different from a lot of other areas of society in that gender becomes very much inferior/superior, basically its the womens events that are exclusionary not the mens a lot of the time because the latter have superior performance to the former.

Am I the only person who knows I don’t have the knowledge to weigh in on this. I have no idea if it is unfair or not. After taking estrogen for a while, I am guessing you eventually just become a full on woman sans the genetalia. But I don’t know. And I don’t think anyone else here really knows either. I’m sure you have all read a lot of Wikipedia though. But is anyone in here an actual biologist or does anyone even have a BS in biology here?

One of the areas of my degree was gender and sex development. Lots of stuff on hormones pre and post natal, anomalous genetic conditions and a retrospective on the history of trans gender surgery etc.

I ain't no expert. Hormone treatment will not reduce a history of muscle gained through being a man, it would however make it real hard to keep it, but I guess she's training a lot. Her bone density, anchor points for tendons and general bone structure won't change markedly either.

That's without addressing any nervous system structural differences.

This is what I’m talking about right here. How the fuck would you even know?

That’s not a rhetorical question. I want to know how someone would know.

By being interested and receptive to the topic, paying attention, reading?

How is knowledge acquisition a mystery to you?

Them performing in the special Olympics etc makes a lot of sense. I can't be sure I'm not being a massive bigot tho...

Not if Nate Diaz in Stilettos has anything to say about it

Wood watch.

If things continue as they are, before long MTF transgenders will dominate every single "women's" sport and the feminist movement will devour itself. It's inevitable if transwomen are allowed to compete with normal women.

Lol do you really need to be told that men are bigger and stronger than women? I guess NPCs don't believe anything until CNN says it

They are. But once a man starts taking estrogen, how long until he becomes as weak as a woman? Sure, he won’t get shorter, but he must get weaker. And you obviously don’t know shit, so why am I asking you?

Ok, so there will be some physical changes but things like bone density won’t change. What was your degree in BTW?

Never. He will still have genetic advantages. He will become weaker than before taking estrogen, but still stronger and faster than genetic woman.

Dude have you ever met a woman? Pick up a 50 lb weight. Now ask a woman to. I get that you're woke or whatever but jesus grow a brain.

Psychology BSc ie science not the arts bullshit. Specialisations being neuropharmacology, evolutionary psychology and sex+gender.

To be honest, in layman's terms, it's more that the variability of the male is higher than the female, due to the XY chromosomes. The Y is missing a leg that would make it an X and the missing data leads to greater variability.

This is why we have many smarter, faster, taller etc etc males than females, likewise many more stupid, slow, short etc etc males than females.

So, ball park estimation here, if any of the top 10% men transition, they'll destroy near every woman in the world.

So like, trans m 2 f have between a 1/100 and 1/10 chance of being world beaters in their sport of choice that they've been training in for some time.

So what you're saying is if someone like @Pugilistic were to transition and compete with women, there is a strong chance he'd get destroyed?

Ok, so you have some insight into the issue. Assuming what you’re saying is correct, then no they should not be allowed to compete against women.

That’s all I wanted. I don’t know why these other homos on here have to get all bent out of shape. Probably because they made up their minds before they even knew any factual information, like they always do.
