I see on the news that some families that were seperated have met up for the first time in many years, which is great.
However i just can't trust the North Korean leader.

I've always thought that nothing will happen between Kim and Trump, they won't denuclearize as i don't believe Kim has ever been interested in doing so.
He is an extremely bad person and i wouldn't be surprized if he's up to something regarding South Korea. Don't know what, but i think he has a nasty nature.
The two sides have been friendly since the Olympics and i think the South Korean government maybe being fooled.
Anyone agree?

Dont trust the current South Korean government either. They could be starting to become a Chinese puppet.

I'm pretty bored with North Korea tbh.

As long as Winnie The Poo poo bear dictates what N.Korean policy the chances of legit cooperation is slim for now.

Right.

Our NK relationship, as well as their behavior, are doing far better under Trump.

While I agree, entirely, that Kim is not to be trusted, and I also think that Trump has as much chance of spoiling this soup as he has of seasoning it if he chooses to be more involved, I think it's tough to be negative on the level of non-hostile interaction between the countries that we're seeing now. People are meeting, North Koreans are seeing what South Korea is doing, there is another channel of communication opened that isn't just NK propaganda... Short of this devolving into a war, this is a crack that could widen significantly. The door is open in a way it hasn't been before, and this leaves the possibility of it opening more and more and more. Colour me cautiously hopeful and that there may be a subtle shift in the hegemonic powers that be if not the hard ones.

You might be right but the only other option is for South Korea to ignore North and continue to distrust them and continue to be in the same situation they were in before. Might as well try something new and extend a hand of friendship and see how it goes. It's not like North Korea is going to trick them so bad and take over the country. At worst things go back to the way they were at best they reunite become true allies and maybe not one nation but something very close.

does Kim realize he has a girls name?
That’s his last name, and he is the supreme, uncontested, all-seeing divine leader so he wouldn’t care. I probably need more adjectives in there.

What? SK enabled the US to place THAAD in SK to which their relations with China completely fell apart(China went hard at SK businesses) and are just now mending(hasnt even been a year) as the US now has the ability to monitor a lot of China with THAADs radar.

"Seoul and Beijing on Tuesday agreed to move beyond a year-long stand-off over the deployment of a U.S. anti-missile system in South Korea, a dispute that has been devastating to South Korean businesses that rely on Chinese consumers."

Its also why Russia and China did military drills together the US put that part of the world on notice with THAAD.

"China and Russia have both expressed opposition to the basing of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system in South Korea, which Seoul and Washington say is needed to defend against the threat of North Korean missiles."

All good buddy, you were correct at one point they reversed their mind about having THAAD but then only to accept it(when NK went on their missile test spree, when they launched like 4, one being the ICBM that could reach the US)

Now we have 4 THAAD systems over in SK.(could be more not stated now too)

We are also building Aegis Ashore(another missile defense system) on Japan, so China,Russia, and NK are sure to love that lol

What doe N Korea have to offer S Korea?

We honestly don't know as much as we think we do about North Korea. North Korea is a dictatorship, it would be more accurate to judge the dictator than the country. Kim Jong ill established a pattern, so we had an idea of what he was like. But we really don't know a lot about Kim Jong Un and how he runs things, and even if he has the same power as his father.
It's not like we have a camera in NK, or like they share how their state works.

Caution is a must, but there's plenty of reason for the North to be cautious and secretive as well.
It's in both countries best interest to be on peaceful terms. It's definitely sincere from the South's side, not entirely sure about the North, but it is in their best interest
