Non-MMA Sports Betting Discussion - August, 2017

Wacha. He got no run support last time out but pitched well. He plays the royals well. Start that money train up again Mikey.

Keep in mind Vargas for the Royals this year has given up 3 ER or less in 18 of 21 starts. Basically throw out his 3 really bad starts where he gave up 6 ER in each of them, and he's been among the best pitchers in all of baseball. Even with those 3 factored in, his ERA is barely over 3. Wacha has pitched well too.

I'm gonna play u8.5 at +102 for 1u. Even if one of the two starters isn't on their game, this could be 5-2 or 6-2. And if both pitch like they generally have this year, could be an even lower scoring game than that.

2-4 is not the start i was envisioning here.

wednesday:
1.05u coric +5 -105 -- i mean he's freakin beaten rafa twice in 3 matches outright.. absolutely stomped youzhny today... nadal out since wimbledon...

1.575u fed U19 -105
1.45u fed U19.5 -145
i probably should've just grabbed my balls and done only fed U19, i just greedily wanna cash on 6-4 6-3, lol. this guy he's playing is a canadian wildcard cause it's the big canadian event. he's 1-3 on the pro tour in 2017. he played fed once at this VERY tournament. 6-2 6-0. so while i used "out since wimbledon" as a negative on the other match, i recognize fed has been, too, but c'mon. he should smoke this guy.

Cubs lose, busting all my parlays.

Haven't used parlays much at all this year. Bankroll was low, so I tried something different

No luck. The losing streak continues. Bankroll is in a sad state right now

Tennis is brutal right now right, turf change and all.

Was anyone on Thiem earlier? The kid was up 5-2 in the final set but chokes something chronic ends up losing 7-5.

Guess I should have seen it coming after his recent loss to Anderson, where I actually did make money backing Anderson but yeah ugh, whatever.

Heck no. Schwartzmann is a clay courter.

Wasn't Nadal hampered by injuries in 2016? Might explain why he lost so badly to Coric that year.

I've been watching Polanski, won a bet on him last night. He and the other canuck Shapovalov have been tearing it up on the hard courts recently, both solid players. Against Fed 6-4 6-3 sounds reasonable.

Ferrer vs Sock, liking Ferrer here. They are 1-1 in H2H, Sock won the last one but Ferrer is a far more reliable player to bet on. Ferrer recently beat Edmund who recently beat Sock for what that's worth. This one for me is Ferrer or pass.

Lorenzi vs Kyrgios is a long shot but tempting. Kyrgios has been retiring left and right, as soon as he falls behind that's it, he just quits and wants out. He recently quit against rank 100 Tennys Sandgren who is a solid player but far from top 20 elite. Good chance heavy server Kyrgios wins this 6-4 6-4 or something like that but if it gets competitive there's very good chance he will crack against a vet like Lorenzi, who is happy to battle it out over 3 sets.

Not gonna join ya on ferrer but gl..

I am adding a half unit on Querrey tho +150.. he was -105 last night so maybe someone knows something I don't .. but he's been on fire this summer... Including edging tsonga in Wimbledon...

I believe Sham asked about a week ago if there would be a demand and I don't think anyone answered him. Not sure if anyone actually is, will happily post some picks tonight if anyone is?

like track and field and olympic type stuff? do it here.

I usually don't post anything after a win. But Wacha came thru and I need to send some happy vibes his way to keep the gravy train going. We went down early 3-1 and once we went up there was zero stress involved in that win.

3u...needed that. Hadn't bet in a few days.

Yeah, 200m, 400m, Steeplechase etc, World Athletics Championship in London.

Wasn't sure if anyone else in this thread was interested or bet on it.

Few bets I will be placing on the Athletics World Championship tonight (follow at your owns risk) will possible have some more posted later.

Men's 5000m Heat 1 - Muktar Edris @ 3.75 (+275.00) - Running well this year, Farah will be looking to converse energy after being banged up a bit.
Women's 3000m Steeplechase Heat 1 - Hyin Kiyeng Jepkemoi @ 1.91 (-109.89)
Women's 3000m Steeplechase Heat 2 - Ruth Jebet @ 2.20 (+120.00)
Women's 3000m Steeplechase Heat 3 - Celliphine Chepteek Chepsol @ 2.38 (+138.00)
Women''s Shot Put - Lijiao Gong @ 2.25 (+125.00)
Men's 200m Semi-Final 1 - Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake @ 2.50 (+150.00) - Would have fancied Simbine for an upset @5.00 if it wasn't for his hip injury.
Men's 200m Semi-Final 2 - Jereem Richards @ 2.10 (+110.00) - I fancy him to upset Yohan Blake here, he's impressed me.

Men's 400m Hurdles - Kerron Clement @ 2.38

I'd advise avoiding the Semi-Final 1 now as Makwala has now qualified after the big drama and is now qualified to run in this race, I think he wins it.

Shit start so far in the first 2 steeplechase runs.

Frustrating, toyed with the idea of Kajelcha in the 5000m but decided against it. He goes on to comfortably lead most of the way round and win it.

Will take a stab on Barega in heat 2 @ 4.33
