Kills the choker narrative a bit. Best goal scorer of the era, Washington hero, memorable character. I think it locks him in at the second best player of the millennium so far.

It solidifies him as the greatest scorer of this generation, and one of the best ever. No knock on him for never winning the cup/never having playoff success/never showing up for the playoffs (which was a shit reputation to put on him in the first place).
