    Yes, an absolute dick move.

Of course the usual people will come in saying how "you go until the ref stops you" but you have to remember, these are people who smash each other's faces in for a living.

That being said, we don't watch this sport because it gives us thrills tantamount to those found in the Golf PGA Tour or whatever that sissy shit is called.

In the heat of the moment it's tough, i'm not even sure N'gannou knew how bad he hurt him.

Happens all the time in MMA. So many fighters try to follow up with another shot just for good measure.

There's always that chance that when your head hits the canvas, you wake up and start defending/attacking. Happens quite a lot.

Hard for ngannou to know within milliseconds that hes actually out cold. They train to follow the fighter to the ground after they drop someone coz many times guys recover and stay in the fight. They don't have time to think and process these things when they're in the fight, its reactive. Its the refs job to step in

It’s violence and in the heat of the moment so it is what it is. On the flip side this isn’t Ancient Greece and there’s a referee so the other guy doesn’t die. I saw worse shit in Pride and no one died there surprisingly.

That was Ngannou showing restraint, Reem's fortunate he didn't take a trophy.

I think that the "you continue 'till the ref stops you" is a poor excuse.
You KNOW when the guy is completely out.
Some chose to follow up and admit it (like Hendo to Bisping) others hide behind lies.

Plenty of fighters are able to stop.

IMO this is akin to eye pokes.
The second they start awarding a very stiff penalty for fighters pulling this dick move, others will stop doing it and pretty soon no one will make those dumbass excuses that "the adrenaline" or "you can't turn it off"... you can, and they will.

we've all seen a lot of crazy shit happen - its a cardinal rule that you go until the rep stops you. Anything less and you are looking for style points and risking your win.

I'd like to cite Bisping vs Silva as a credible answer to your statement. You better keep fucking fighting.
