Witten had absolutely no say in the signing, and also isn't going to blast his team or it's player in public, it's simple really. The guy has ran a charity for abused women for a long long time. Yeah, free safety and 3-tech are two areas where their model seems to really fuck up. I remember one year they rated Guion as the worst DL in the league because, despite him being virtually un-movable and one of the best block eaters in the NFL, he was just logged into the system as successfully blocked on every play.

Like don't get me wrong, Kenny Clark has done well and I am glad the Pack have him. I was super pumped to see him, Daniels, and motivated Wilk wreck shop up front this year but having him show up as one of the best has me scratch my head.
