It's from February which means like you said they had to have known before training camp. You didn't suspend him then and if you suspend him now the PR nightmare of "you didn't do it when you should have" is going to run it's train on you (and rightfully so).

I agree somewhat. Parents should always be the biggest role models in children's lives. Athletes do have a responsibility to conduct themselves in public because everyone's watching.

As said in my first post, you have to have some self-control. You're getting hit by 300 monsters on the field and you get right up and even shake hands with them after the game. "But, but, but, the white girl slapped me and called me a name!" Embarrassed himself, his family, and his team.
