122 would also be more cost effective. Can you imagine how expensive it would be to get Valdez, Mares, Santa Cruz, Russell, Selby, Frampton and Quigg (last two are guesses, but still)? 122 won't cost a dime comparatively speaking.

Potentially a star creation machine vs a star promoting one. The question is whether or not ppl will tune in.

The current tourney has been pretty great, and I’d love for this format to succeed.

If WBSS hadn't broken up each fight into their own event, instead had 2 fights per card one from super middle and one from cruiserweight, then maybe a network outside of Europe would have given a fuck.

Hopefully they do that next tourney, that plus the latino contestants should get them traction in the Americas.
