Do you think a power suplly of 300W is enough ?
    Because that's what is has.

I would presume they wouldn't build an AIO that is going to blow up. That's bad business.

But no, I don't like that figure at all. That PSU is probably one of those incredibly durable and highly efficient, low-wattage, single rail PSUs that you tend to only see in AIOs and office builds, not on the open component market so much. They will provide like 280W of power along the 12V rail. But even that won't cut the mustard, IMO. You want to look for power consumption charts:
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/msi-radeon-rx-580-gaming-x-review,5.html
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx-580-review,5020-6.html

The Guru3D article indicates that the MSI RX 580 8GB alone consumed 191W at peak power usage. The reason the difference in power draws is usually a nominal concern when considering two cards like the GTX 1060 and the RX 580 is that the actually difference in power draw is ~90W-100W. The difference between a 500W and 600W power supply of the same quality is about $10-20 over here.

Of course you're also not too concerned about internal heat production unless you're working with a really compact space like a mini-ITX build, or a build intended to overclock. It's not like the world of laptops, tablets, and phones.

The first version of the Corsair CX430 ruled this space for the longest time. It wasn't quite as efficient as the little 300W battletanks they put in these office AIOs, but that extra 130W covered enough ground that it probably could support an RX 580, and it usually retailed for $45 with constant rebates of $10-$25 offered and other markdowns often making it just $20-$25 to purchase (although like Austin pointed out in the other thread, IIRC, the current recommendation of 500W actually seems reasonable for a build with the RX 580; this is itself an outlier because they tend to recommend massive overkill when quoting a generalized figure for recommended power. If you want to be more precise, use a PSU calculator:

I got to install an SSD in one of these today. What a piece of shit.
None of the power supply cables were sleeved together. The 20 pin was 20 wires loose, they weren't bundled together.
The only fan that would do anything was under the video card where the pci covers are normally. The CPU cooler looked like it was a stock AM2.
The video card was horrible. It had the cheapest cooler I've ever seen. from what I could see, the only thing cooled was the die. If you could rig a stock intel cooler on it, I bet the temps would drop significantly.
    Allen head screws. Wtf.
    2/10 would not recommend.
And the sata cable was grounded. I still don't know what that's all about.

I ended up ordering that cheap DIYPC case I posted above. For $20, I'm extremely happy with the aesthetics. I haven't got to thermals yet, I'm waiting on a fan extension cable to finish the build. My only negatives I've found with the case is that there's no dust filters, there's one on the psu but it's garbage. It's definitely cheap steel, but all the edges are rolled so I didn't end up with any cuts.
Graphics card sag is acceptable, it's no worse than the Rosewill Challenger. I didn't use the stock fans but with some google fu I found out they're the same fans the Corsair 300R uses, model A1225M12S. There's more than plenty of room at the top for a case fan or 2, but there's no holes. Depending on how the thermal tests go, I might end up drilling some holes to add a top fan.

Thanks. I'm happy with how it turned out. Almost everything was used or something I already owned, only thing I bought new was the case.
It's nothing flashy or fancy, but it gets the job done. I couldn't get the front panel audio connector to straighten out though. I ended up unplugging it, I never use it anyways. I'm thinking about painting or plasti dipping the top fin of the Hyper 212 to black, the silver just sticks out to much. I don't think it would affect the temperatures too much. I purchased a different cooler, but forgot to check measurements.

I wouldn't mess with the fins. But I'm just weird that way I guess.

I've seen that at a local walmart (they're out now). I recommended it to a friend who I knew would never open it. I know some people don't like it but for someone who wants to game casually and isn't interested in doing anything with it its a bargain.

We upgraded to two screens at work a while back. Plenty of my coworkers are at that level of computer literacy, but they loved it after a bit. The friend with the above prebuilt wound up getting an extra monitor for it - he just likes having two. One for his primary task and one for side browsing or whatever. He plays 6 year old RPGs on it while facebooking his kids.

I'd just be doing the top plate, not the whole thing. There's a Hyper 212 LED Turbo version that has a cover plate but they won't sell it separately. Unless they've changed things, all the tests I've ever seen with adding an additional fan or changing the fan on the 212 doesn't make any difference.

The Thermaltake View 21 and Core 21 are the same case, just different front panels. The Core has a mesh front panel and the View has an acrylic front panel. This needs to be more of a thing.
