What I thought tbh
Look at those cute little carts.
thinking of making a raspberry pi emulator....whole set up from amazon is gonna run me about $70. might wait a bit to see if i can get it down a bit lower
hey sherbros walmart is going to be offering the classic editions everyday at 5pm est. probably will only be available for a minute or so, if you want one sign up for a walmart account (not credit card just make an account) and start refreshing the page like a maniac. when it comes live go ham and get through the checkout quick
good luck my friends
If you're going to throw Kodi on it, a better option would be to pick up a used small form factor pc. It'll be much more powerful and versatile.
Take this for example http://www.ebay.com/itm/DESKTOP-Del...339394?hash=item41b7c9f1c2:g:Z3kAAOSwbYZXbKWi
Much more powerful and you'd be able to use netflix, prime video, etc that couldn't use on the Pi. It's even powerful enough you could throw in a blu ray drive, they go on sale for $40-$50 often.
You could even pick up a 1rst gen Linux Intel compute stick for around $50 that will beat the Pi performance wise
id consider throwin kodi on it. truth is i have three firesticks loaded with it on every tv in the house so its more of being lazy and not switching hdmi sources more than anything else
I have the first gen Pi that I run kodi and emulators on. It can get frustrating with the lag but it may be a lot better since the Pi 3 has a better processor, more ram, etc.
The one huge positive with the Pi is that it has CEC so sometimes you don't even need a different remote
You don't have to use an adapter for this, it's built into the Pi
Are you guys seeing these prices on eBay? Wow. Im hoping no one is dumb enough to fall for it. Asking 5,500 and the description says "get this Nintendo now before prices skyrocket!" Lmao. Another guy is asking 20k and promising to donate half to charity.
People were dumb enough to pay hundreds of dollars for Twinkies on Ebay a couple years ago so you may be hoping for too much
So is it true they are going to stop making it?
Worker in Aus told me that was it...
WiiU is being discontinued, not the Mini NES. There's another batch apparently coming in the next 2 weeks.
He reckons after that batch that's it...
That's what he told me, I don't see it but it's selling too well.
That doesn't make any fucking sense. The things are selling out in seconds. How fucking dumb would Nintendo have to be to just walk away from hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of unit sales, by only making like 30,000 units or whatever?
Yea my exact thought when I argued with him...
why wouldnt they continue to make until demand went down.
They just fucked up and didn't realise how many people actually wanted it.
I don't understand the demand. I could emulate the NES on my phone or computer and connect a blu tooth NES controller for $20 cheaper than this system cost at the base price, and have access to every game for the system instead of 30. It's probably a nice thing to have, but it has no real value outside of nostalgia.
Nostalgia is the value. I have access to every one of those games in a variety of ways. What I don't have is a tiny NES to play them on.
My wife has friends who are "thrifters", who basically buy crap to sell on ebay. They sold one of these for a couple hundred
Console peasants gonna peasant.
Sweet, finally got my order placed through Walmart.
Looks like they're restocking at 2pm pacific again.
Can you save your game on a PC?
