Hello All
Here are some new gloves I am having produced for sale and would like comments suggestions etc, I am planning to offer only custom gloves, those these are more of boxing/ muay hybrid, I am having a full muay produced along with offering a normal pair of boxing gloves.

These intitial ones are heavily padded but one can still use them easily in clinch. I am offering them in lace up and hook and loop, from 10-16 ounces ( But they seem to be heavier and all these are 16). There are double stitched extremely high quality leather and craftsmanship the thumb position is not that of cletos... but even than it has never bothered me. The padding on the palms is not latex but cotton providing better protection

being custom I can offer various types of padding from very to protective almost nothing. Model wise for the moment I a grant type is offered a more pure muay which is being made now and the hybrids in the pictures below.

I welcome all comments and hopefully interest in some purchases.

Yo Dorian,

Who is making these for you? Classics? I like the detached thumb. I use to have a pair of 12 oz Casanovas that come with a detached thumb they were pretty good for clinch work while doing thai pads. But i gifted them to a friend as i was not using them enough.

I use fight gloves for pad work both boxing and thai pads. I ditched the modern thai training glove as i discovered "western" gloves magically can be used to punch and grab things as well.. if not better in some cases. You can definitely make a better fist imo. And the whole " they're better for catching kicks" argument is suspect too.

That being said there is market for people who like this type of glove. And now they can have a latex padded version of it. The only thing i can see from the pictures is it looks like one might have a problem landing punches over the knuckles with theses gloves. Depends on your hand size i suppose. Seems like you would be landing on your second knuckles on not the main ( business ) ones.

Thanks for the input
The thumb can be attached and without a problem this is just how I prefer them, I use the black and yellow ones. Like you i am not fully won over of muay gloves but at the same time i wanted some of the features of muay gloves such as the side sausages to help absorb elbow hits.

On the striking part i have Used them for a bit now and the i hit with the proper knuckles.
On the maker lets just say they gloves that are made by msker better known than the maker classics campeon etc and his gloves are alomost exclusively sold to middle men like me :). They make an extremly well known and flashy brand.

I would like to offer these at 125 per custom pair (non metalic colores) plus shipping I am looking for reviews so am offering the first 2 pairs at 50% plus shipping with the promise of a review. They could grant type, this hybrid or full on muay, reason able selection of colores and of course the padding to ones desire, extremly proctective to cleto feel the pain. Even fight gloves if one wishes.

Also i can provide headgear and custom shorts to match the gloves if one wishes.
Thanks for your input

Humm.. the gloves don't look like grant type workmanship. If that is what you were hinting at. Def looks like Campeon or Zepol even Classics. The thumb and and flat colors give it away. Also the stitching is suspect on some of the pictured velcro models. Dove you have any pics of the grant type or traditional boxing gloves your offering? What about the fight gloves? I know for a fact Classics or Campeon will make a fight style glove I forget which. I never pulled the trigger because i didn't really like the looks of the thumb position or the overall profile of the glove.

I might be willing to take your offer on a pair of grant style fight gloves and a training pair at those discounted prices. Depending on what they look like. I have actual grants and other competing brands to compare them with. I don't really care for the BGV1 or modern profile thai training glove. Although the velcro pairs in the pics look like a Campeon glove with a shorter velcro cuff... to me at least. I have thai brand fight gloves and fairtex western style gloves but they are all laceup models except for a pair of Fairtex super sparring gloves in velcro that i don't like but keep to use as loaners.

In any case, good luck on your endeavor!

This might be one of Grant's suppliers. Obvious not the same pattern or leather or anything for that matter. Something these have in common with Grant is the "16" tab. Those look like they're the ones on the Grant gloves.

Grant has changed suppliers before. Would be fascinating to actually take a look at the Mexican glove manufacturing industry.

That would be extremely difficult or easy...
Most are located in the df, cletos in toluca and after that there are various leathersmiths mostly in the north that make them such as quinone or something like that. I have never seen their gloves in person But in photos they look good.

And other point besides I have seen their workshop and convinced that they are a supplier. But that said I was simply responding to the question of provenence. I hope the gloves and gear can stand on their own:)

Hello all
For christmas i am offering these and grant type training and fight gloves for 100usd plus shipping.

The gloves are not stock and will be custom made padding and colors of your choice( metálics extra :))
Head gear can be provided as well at that price.

Ciao
Dorian
