Apologies for the thread necromancy, but I actually just watched "My magnificent obsession" last night on Netflix, and really enjoyed it. I had never heard of CT Fletcher before watching it.

It has absolutely no value as a training documentary, but is a fascinating snapshot into an aging lifter who is clearly facing his own mortality. Between some of the more staged pieces that are created to match his internet persona are some very poignant glimpses into the actual person. Possibly more interesting to me because I'm old. :)

The Tyson documentary that came out years ago was really good. He talks but his life being a Greek tragedy. Always thought that a good way of looking at him.
Vice channel has loads of good short ones.

Last Chance U is pretty good. It follows a a team of college NFL players who are basically getting their last shot to make it into the pros. I liked it & I'm not a gridiron fan

Also on Netflix right now is "The Barkley Marathons: the race that eats it's young"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barkley_Marathons

It's a documentary that covers the 2012 running of the Barkley Marathons, which is a 100 mile off-trail ultra marathon in the Tennessee mountains.

The race directory is a really interesting guy.

The most inspirational documentary that I have ever seen is "Big River Man", it is about Martin Strel, a marathon swimmer, who swims the Amazon. Fantastic flick!

I work out at home so I always have something playing in the background for inspiration. Usually old Pride tournaments or boxing, but there was a period of time when I was watching old Wrestlemanias from my youth and got a real jolt out of that once I realized how stupid it is to an adult.
