Need an advice

    Good Day Fellow,

    I need some advice in swing kicks. I have been training in Muay thai for a bit now. Whenever I would practice throwing kicks, my glutus medius would be sore and would hurt a bit. So when doing shadow work, I would bend the leg at the knee to alleviate the pain. But now unfortunately, I have trained too much on it and it has become habitual leading to less power on every kick. Kinda looks like TKD kick. Stretching the leg out when swinging is even more tricky now.

    I keep my posture as it should be straight at back, rolled in shoulders(loose)...stand firm at the paws. Weight slightly closer the the leading leg. Has anyone had same experience? What was the resolution or underlying issue?
