My phone won't let me turn on wifi???

I don't have data so I rely on wifi and suddenly it got turned off ... I tried to turn it on and it says turning on but goes off again. I tried restarting my phone and did some reseach online but no idea why my Samsung Galaxy Sj36 is doing this to me

I have a galaxy as well and post mostly from my phone. I don't have that issue. You might want to call your provider.

I actually bought a screen protector that goes on it and it shows a hammer hitting it but I'm weary to test the legitimacy of it ...

So they sent me a lender phone in the mail, it sucks, way tiny. I took my sims card out of my phone with the wifi that won't turn on and could not for the life of me get it in the tiny phone. I was frustrated and needed to call someone so I put it back in my original phone and suddenly I'm connected to the internet and the wifi works again. WTF

I'm going to wait it out a week and see if it keeps working before I send the lender phone back

Whenever this happens the first thing I check is Airplane Mode (though the WiFi's failure to turn on should generate a pop-up notification). If you've hit it by accident, then it will cockblock your WiFi and Cellular toggles.

*Edit* Also, the "SJ36" isn't a Samsung Galaxy phone model. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be my tell that you're just having a gas. I'm bad at these Clippy threads.
