My Hotel Reciept was sent to my wife's email - HOW?

Well you just found out what hotel chain your wife uses when she cheats on you.

Is it possible your wife has ever stayed at the same hotel or chain?

The system may have remembered her details and email and somehow connected your account to hers??

No - I'm certain she has not.

even if his # is on his wife's account, did she give all available numbers in the past?

how would they even know that? and then just assume to send an email there?

this is pretty weird, jokes aside

The handful of the worlds most powerful corporations know everything about everyone bra.

How did you book the hotel? I have shared accounts with Expedia and hotels.com that will send emails to my wife. I don't care either way. I'd never book a room without telling her first, book a room at a crazy rate if I can't later expense it to my company, or pay for pornography, ever, so it's not an issue

Called from outside to inquire about availability the walked in and paid.

I was out of town this weekend and rented a room. I paid with my card, gave my cell number (which is under my wife's account) and I did not give an email address.

The receipt was sent to my wife's email address - HOW?

My assumption is because my cell phone is on her account that somehow my number and her email address are linked. If so - that is CRAZY. Am I right?

How else can you explain this? How did this happen?
How can I prevent this from happening?

Any information you can provide to assist is appreciated.

since your number is on her account so it's technically her number, I know my wife's cell phone is associated with our shared email account so I get notifications on that stuff, hence why I keep my cell and "personal" email different. I also have a credit card I use for "business only". Either you approved the invoice/receipt sent to your/her email or the person at the front desk just did it.

Just tell her you got drunk and ended up going to a hotel to sleep it off instead of driving drunk. I've done that when I've "been out of town for a weekend" and gotten praise for being so responsible. [<cena1}

This reminds me - the chick at the front desk was flirting and wanted me to smash but I was too tired. (and married)

Or next time just take out cash from an ATM NOT at the hotel. That's my preferred method of payment in these situations

Had a friend take out cash at a strip club ATM, he asked "what will it say on my bank statement?" I think it was a bouncer or stripper told him "oh, it will say "Novelty Enterprises, Inc." So he took out about $500. Next month calls me all pissed and upset, the statement came back with "Tootsies Cabaret". His wife was not pleased at all.

Use a different phone number or ask them to change the email? Pretty straight forward.

Yes - that will prevent it in the future - you're right.

I meant to ask How can I get my number (which is under her account) unlinked or detached from her email address?

You'll have to call the cell provider, only problem is if it's under her name they will probably need her permission to change your number to a different email account. It's worth a try though.

If it was a Square terminal and your wife has ever put her email for a receipt on a purchase that email is associated with the card and auto sends on all Square terminals.

Yeah - I have seen that happen as well but this was not a square.
