It's so complicated. I wish that there could be peace. They chased all the Jews out of every country then said they hate zionists. Hmm....
HERESY!
funny, that's how I feel about evangelical Christians. It’s still a terrible religion but has its good people.
True.funny, that's how I feel about evangelical Christians.
meanwhile, one of America's richest preachers closed his church to Hurricane victims seeking shelter.Muslims tend to be very charitable when it comes to dealing with tragedy and disasters. Muslims are usually among the first to accept outsiders into their Mosques as shelters following hurricanes. They did so with Harvey, Katrina, Sandy, etc.
My friend lives in Houston, and she said a lot of the shelters that popped up in her area were Mosques.

Wow, he actually blocked someone on Twitter? Lol.
Joel Osteen strikes me more as a business man than a religious man. A lot of other people who claim to be religious strike me more as political people.
It's actually fairly rare that I encounter religious people who are truly spiritual in their approach, as opposed to just being culturally or politically drawn to religion. My Grandma was always an example for me. She was a truly decent Christian woman. Very humble, very unassuming, very charitable, did all the jobs nobody else wanted to do at the Church without ever asking for anything in return. She was a fine example of humility. There are not enough like her, in my opinion.
Okay fuck it. I'm 15 beers deep after a funeral so I'm going all in.
For the newbs that don't visit the S&C and standup forum, and think I'm a cuck. Me hitting he bag recently:
Current:
Osteen's brand of evangelicalism is more Tony Robbins than Billy Graham. As a Christian, I abhor Osteen in particular and his ilk in general. Your grandmother sounds like she was the kind of person worth having over for tea.
lolAre you 6 months in training stand up?

I had to look up Tony Robbins, but yeah you seem to have nailed it.Osteen's brand of evangelicalism is more Tony Robbins than Billy Graham.
You gotta admit, it is kind of funny that a Japanese fighter is holding that flag and they have one of the most strict immigration policies in the world and don't even allow non Japanese dudes to fuck their porn stars.
[/SPOILER]
Yeah. Osteen is more of an inspirational speaker than an actual bible-based preacher, much similar to Benny Hinn.I had to look up Tony Robbins, but yeah you seem to have nailed it.
