The FBI came into existence because local law enforcement couldn't handle organized crime, and because of profound corruption in local and state governments, including in state penal systems. And most conservatives were not against the FBI and the department of justice until they started investigating Trump. Trump has made a good chunk of conservatives lose all perspective.

Comey's memos led to Mueller, which lead to 3 Trump campaign folks pleading guilty and flipping already, Trump's former campaign manager is a dead man walking, another former advisor had a mental breakdown on cable tv about not testifying against his father figure and captain Wikileaks, Roger Stone (who also was a part of Trump's campaign and has been close to Trump for a long time, and is under investigation), and it led to it being discovered that Erick Prince lied in his testimony about his meeting with a Russian banker to set up a back channel between Trump and Russia, and it led to Mueller subpoenaing documents related to Trump's business. And it has led to a rift between Trump and Jeff Sessions that is a national joke.

But yeah, no impeachment, so nothing.
