The Shining! I read the book when it came out, and was excited to see the movie a few years
later. It just bored me.
Also the Indiana Jones movies were very disappointing, couldn't get into them.
Another is the 2000s remake of King Kong. Kong skating, the ridiculous chase during the dinosaur stampede, love between girl and giant ape ETC. It was like an insult to my intelligence.
Lastly the 1989 Batman. The buildup was great, pictures of the costume were awesome, so I was so excited to see it, but in the cinema I found it to be dull, uninspired rubbish. A huge letdown.
