smh, nascan can't get out of it's own way
The FIA will further examine the collision between Hamilton and Vettel.
One view was that the stewards weren't able to determine until after the race that Hamilton didn't use his brakes so they might have decided to leave any further action up to the FIA.
Nascar changes rules way too much.
What rules did they change now?
I want set rules that last more than a year or two.
xfinity already under rain delay at daytona
might be a long weekend
lol at them having mma fights at the track during the delay
They had a ring set up at the track and NBC planned to have fights after the race was over. The weather didn't look good during qualifying. Probably a good thing to have alternate programming for the rain delay.
I actually agree.
This is much better than the usual, boring ass pit interviews with drivers, crew chiefs and team owners during a protracted delay.
Well that didn't last long. They should have started at 10AM Florida time.
wow, byron matthews two races in a row.
and only 19
Glad to finally see an actual Xfinity driver win some races.
Did you mean William Byron in Xfinity or are you referring to another race?
dyslexia kicks in sometimes
Nice crashfest at Daytonna as usual. Junior has a tire problem, hits the wall and goes down 2 laps. Gets one back by staying out and getting a caution. Just misses being the first car a lap down when a caution comes out but gets a quick caution soon after. He gets back in the lead pack and Harvick has a tire problem in front of him.
Six Hours of the Glen had action on the opening lap and some good cars losing it throughout.
would love to drive watkins glen, what a great track
Seems like Vettel got away with crashing into Hamilton.
The FIA has decided to take no further action against Sebastian Vettel for his clash with Formula 1 title rival Lewis Hamilton during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Not sure how I feel about this I do like Vettel. And I consider myself a fan of Schumacher's try everything to win approach to racing.
But I can't help to feel he should have been disqualified for this. A Clear violation of the rules. Not really a gray area anymore.
hm, hard to say.
F1, unlike some other race series, doesn't like to penalize drivers retroactively.
which may be good or bad.
hammy was wrong for slowing to that extent, but you just don't go and ram the dude
cause you're pissed.
not something a 4 TIME world champion would be expected to do IMO.
@Sexy @Captain Davis
Hamilton had been asked to back off further from the safety car as they thought he was too close when the safety car left the track on the previous restart. Nobody else in the field thought he had slowed. Ricciardo said that Vettel accelerated away from him.
Vettel went to the FIA meeting and kissed some asses and Ferrari likely threatened to pull funding.
Formula One is fun to follow.
