Just the beginning of 2001 (with the monkey men) is better then 99% of most films ever made. 2001 Space Odyssey is a more important film now then it ever was back then. Its funny how amazon, google, android, smartphones, ect all copy HAL, these companies are pushing technology in our faces and laughing at us even though we were warned. These companies are directly ripping off what 2001 warned us about and laughing straight in our faces. "Alexa? Can you order me a noose?"

Titanic - Somehow this piece of shit won 8,000 Oscars.

E.T. - It's a decent enough movie, but I feel it lacks the movie magic that others ascribe to it.

Finding Nemo - I'll never understand the love for this movie. It's a below average film of cutesy talking animal bullshit.

Bringing Up Baby - It's an alright movie, but it's certainly not an all-time classic. I have no idea how it made AFI's top 100 list.

Adam's Rib - It's kind of a mediocre movie, but somehow made some of AFI's lists.

The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) - Average movie with a bunch of flaws.

American Beauty - It's a rather meh movie. It has some good stuff in it, but it also has some rather retarded shit in it, too (especially the embarassing plastic bag scene).

Lost in Translation - Mediocre, boring af movie.

The Shawshank Redemption - Don't get me wrong, it is a great movie, but it's not close to the greatest movie ever made.

Glengarry Glen Ross is by far the most overrated movie that I've ever seen.

Cape Fear was the last film he took even the slightest risk or exercised even the slightest artistry. And that was in 1991.

What risk? He remade an old movie and did it worse. It's nice how you arbitrary throw around a word like "artistry". Thank you that most people disagree with you and for good reason.

You have excellent taste!

12 Year Slave - boring as fuck
The Dark Knight - it loses steam after repeat viewings
Saving Private Ryan - best war effects. Not the best story. All the characters are cardboard cutouts
Crash - lays it on very thick
All of the Pirate movies - John Depp can suck it
Hobbit movies - terrible
Bridge of Spies - very well shot shit, Spielberg at his worst. Up there with that stupid airport movie
Platoon - not bad but everyone in the movie is one dimensional.

Looking at movies that have won best picture, I think movies are getting more and more stupid. Kramer vs Kramer could never be made today.
