Most impressive career resurgences ?

Glad to see Hunto getting credit itt.
It's easy now for people that weren't invested to look back on his turnaround and call it for what it was- literally brining life back to a corpse- but I tell ya, as a true blue diehard..... those days were much darker imo than many remember. His career was a dumpster fire. It wasn't just losses, but a whole giant confluence of bad shit that made him worse than a complete and utter joke in the minds of most people.
But we got through it, as I always knew we could.
War Hunto for life.

The only correct answer is Anderson Silva. Goes from a promising WW who beat the undefeated Sakurai then gets beaten a couple of times in pride by nobody's. Gets set up to lose to Chris Leben in his UFC debut then goes on to cement himself as GOAT.

You can't have a career resurgence when your career is just getting started. He was basically a nobody who got his ass kicked so he buckled down and got a lot better. Hunt had already been fighting top guys, was looking like a total wreck, 2 wins in 6 fights or something like that, with people wishing he would just fuck off and he turned it all around within about 2 fights.

Well the problem is you don't know what you're talking about. Anderson was at one stage the #1 ranked WW in the world being the only man to beat pre accident Sakurai. Then his career started to quickly get away from him while he picked up losses to nobodies.

Hunt career resurgence was and is great(massive fan here) but he never climbed the heights Silva did but experienced very similar low points.

Well, fortunately, I know what resurgence means. He had 3 losses sprinkled among half a dozen or so wins. A slight set back does not a resurgence make. Fucking Hunto had lost 6 fights in a row and one of them was being subbed by Sean McCorkle. He was by all accounts at the end of his career, done like dinner. This is not in any way a similar low point FFS.

Lawler and Maia are the two that come to mind.

I'd say Maia because he was so hot n cold at middleweight. Then he dropped down to WW, improved his wrestling and most importantly revised his pathfinding/candidate lines into a fighting style that is very difficult to survive against.

Amazing regrouping from the BJJ warrior

Not really UFC but Cro Cop has been on a decent run for his age lately
