On Thursday, CNN published an investigation into a number of allegations of sexual harassment and “inappropriate behavior” against Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman. The 80-year-old actor has had a long career that includes films like Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, and the Dark Knight trilogy, as well as voice work in movies such as The Lego Movie and March of the Penguins; he is also the co-founder of Revelations Entertainment, a production company that the report alleges fostered a “toxic work environment” for female staffers.

CNN reporters An Phung and Chloe Melas spoke with 16 people for the report.

One notable aspect of the report is that many people recounted witnessing or experiencing the harassment but didn’t report it for fear of their jobs being affected: “Instead, some of the women — both on movie sets and at Revelations — said, they came up with ways to combat the alleged harassment on their own, such as by changing the way they dressed when they knew he would be around.”

Here are the biggest revelations from CNN’s report on Freeman and his production company, which contains many detailed accounts that you can read in full:

  • Eight women told CNN they were the victim of sexual harassment or “inappropriate behavior” from Freeman.
  • The allegations include multiple accounts of inappropriate and sexually charged remarks, often about women’s bodies and clothing, as well as unwanted touching. One woman said that Freeman attempted to pull up her skirt and look beneath it on the set of the 2015 film Going in Style, and didn’t stop until he was reprimanded by co-star Alan Arkin. Another said that women on the Dark Knight crew often talked about Freeman’s behavior.
  • Three entertainment journalists — including one of the article’s writers, Chloe Melas — said Freeman made inappropriate remarks during press junkets.
  • Some people whom CNN spoke with said they knew which actor the reporters were inquiring about, even before the reporter named Freeman.
  • The allegations include conduct on movie sets, while promoting films, and at Freeman’s production company, Revelations Entertainment. Freeman’s co-founder at Revelations, Lori McCreary — who herself was subjected to inappropriate comments in public from Freeman — reportedly witnessed at least one of the incidents. One person also said that McCreary “made a discriminatory remark regarding a female candidate for a job at the Producers Guild of America, where McCreary is co-president.”
  • As the CNN report notes, these allegations are about incidents that occurred in public, in front of witnesses, and sometimes in front of cameras. “Before #MeToo, many men in the industry could behave without fear of consequences, because many times when a powerful man did so, it was the victim who suffered repercussions,” the report notes.
According to CNN, neither Freeman nor his spokesperson has yet responded to multiple requests for comment on the report, which presents a long and detailed account of a pattern of alleged harassment and inappropriate behavior by Freeman. You can read it in full at CNN.com.

Fuck off #metoo.

GUYS LIKE TO BE HIT ON BY GIRLS.

...but when girls are hit on...it's sooo night and day compared to guys.

Fucking obviously.

Guys are the stronger sex, so when a girl gets hit on...they may feel physically threatened.

Can't you at least imagine what that would feel like...?

It's EASY being a guy.
lol at EASY.

A large percentage of men are terrified to approach women and have zero game and get shot down if they can build up the courage to approach a woman. I would guess it is a majority of men who are horrible with women. And quite frankly a majority of women who are horrible in handling men and their advances.

A small percentage of men are fearless and good at it but again that is a minority.

Nothing about meeting someone and approaching them and dating is easy for either sex but men must do the hard part which is approach and risk rejection. The female just has to say yes or no or be open to it. So that is why the entire process of meeting and dating is NECESSARILY ugly and complicated and not one people should assume men will get right. Men will approach women who are not interested. They will make awkward and uncomfortable discussions with those women and maybe make those women feel awkward and uncomfortable too and all of that is OK. It has to be ok as the only other alternative is to flip it so women do all the approaching and only approach men they are interested in therefore they are never bothered by men they are not interested in. But we know the vast, vast majority of women do not want that. They want the men to approach. But they just want the men they are interested in to approach. But unfortunately women must take the good with the bad as the men do not know which the women want to approach them.

Biologically, being a women.............................no fucking thanks.

You may not have a hypothetical issue with being a women instead of a man...so to each their own.

The higher you go up on the pyramid the more sexually depraved you have to become. At some point these types of revelations should stop being surprising. Hollywood actors and entertainers, politicians, heads of government, star athletes, high profile business tycoons, religious leaders...most are pansexual luciferians.
Luciferians, huh.

At least it's only harassment, not rape. At this point we'll be lucky to have any celebrities left that aren't monsters.

She presented the footage on live tv, here it is he deserves to lose his job over this he really made these women uncomfortable.

Timestamped

Not seeing much in the video as way of incriminating evidence. I'm not even sure anybody knows what he's talking about.

Wait what? That was it.

I need a little more than that ...or maybe that whole video...

Morgan Freeman looks like he just woke up from a nap.

That's not particularly damning footage. The title really hyped it up though.

Wait... what? Wtf this is it? LOL

Stupid ass fame whores. If that was s hot guy saying this stuff they would have slid their panties over and not complained.

Should be publicly executed. We can’t allow men to continue to say things to women that imply they are attracted to them. And just look at his eyes!!!! Men should never look women up and down.

So....he wanted to be there when co Star learned his lesson? That’s what I’m getting
