First Trailer for George Clooney's SUBURBICON Starring Matt Damon

Suburbicon is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns…the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. This is a tale of very flawed people making very bad choices. This is Suburbicon. In theatres October 27th.

First Look at Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway in SERENITY

A first-look image from the upcoming movie Serenity, which features the Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway (collaborating for the first time since Interstellar) with intense facial expressions — and a new blonde hair color for Hathaway. The upcoming mystery tale was written and directed by Steven Knight (Locke, Redemption).

In Serenity, McConaughey plays a fishing boat captain whose past is about to crash up against his life on a small island in the tropics and ensnare him in a new reality that might not be all it seems to be. The film also stars Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou and Diane Lane.

Loved unbreakable. probably his last "great" film. hope he can reclaim the magic after all these years. Although, part of the appeal was the Mr. Glass twist, and based on his record he may and try and ruin the potential here with another of his signature WTF endings .

Sam Shepard, Esteemed Playwright and Actor, Dies at 73

Sam Shepard, the respected Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist and Oscar-nominated actor, has died. He was 73.

Shepard died Thursday from complications from ALS at his home in Kentucky, his spokesman said.

“The family requests privacy at this difficult time,” spokesman Chris Boneau said. Funeral arrangements remain private, and plans for a public memorial have not been determined.

Shepard won the Pulitzer in 1979 for his play Buried Child and was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar in 1984 for his role in The Right Stuff as Chuck Yeager. He was in a romantic relationship with Jessica Lange from 1982 to 2009.

His other memorable supporting roles include Days of Heaven, The Pelican Brief, Black Hawk Down, The Notebook, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Mud, August: Osage County, Midnight Special. His last film role was starring opposite Mireille Enos in this year’s thriller Never Here.

In 2015, he appeared in Netflix's dark family drama Bloodline as patriarch Robert Rayburn, which marked his final on-camera appearance.

Noomi Rapace Plays Seven Identical Sisters in WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY Trailer

In a not so distant future, where overpopulation and famine have forced governments to undertake a drastic One-Child Policy, seven identical sisters (all of them portrayed by Noomi Rapace) live a hide-and-seek existence pursued by the Child Allocation Bureau. The Bureau, directed by the fierce Nicolette Cayman (Glenn Close), enforces a strict family-planning agenda that the sisters outwit by taking turns assuming the identity of one person: Karen Settman. Taught by their grandfather (Willem Dafoe) who raised and named them - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - each can go outside once a week as their common identity, but are only free to be themselves in the prison of their own apartment. That is until, one day, Monday does not come home. Premieres on Netflix August 18.

Jaume Collet-Serra to Direct Disney's JUNGLE CRUISE Starring Dwayne Johnson

It appears that Disney's Jungle Cruise movie has finally found its captain. The Shallows helmer Jaume Collet-Serra will direct Dwayne Johnson in the action-adventure based on the classic Disneyland ride.

While park-goers are taken on a journey through the rivers of the world, from Africa’s Nile and Congo rivers to South America’s Amazon, exact plot details for the feature are being kept under wraps.

Johnson will also produce the adventure project with Dany Garcia, the co-CEO of the duo’s Seven Bucks Productions banner, which will next release Jumanji. John Fox and Beau Flynn will also produce. The studio is shooting for a spring 2018 start of production.

After a string of successes in the thriller and horror genres, Collet-Serra has been an in-demand director for larger studio fare. At one time, he was in the running to direct the Suicide Squad sequel for Warner Bros/D.C.

His next feature is the Liam Neeson mystery, The Commuter, for Lionsgate, and he is attached to direct the true story of the 51-day standoff between the FBI and a cult in Waco, Texas for Annapurna.

Mel Gibson Sues Voltage Pictures for "Jeopardizing" THE PROFESSOR AND THE MADMAN

Mel Gibson is suing Voltage Pictures for "jeopardizing" The Professor and the Madman by failing to honor their co-production deal and allegedly engaging in fraudulent behavior.

Gibson and his producing partner Bruce Davey spent nearly two decades developing the film, which is based on Simon Winchester's book of the same name about the origins of the Oxford English Dictionary.

The actor-producer was set to star in the film, alongside Sean Penn, with Farhad Safinia writing the screenplay and directing. The project "was, and is a labor of love" for the producers and director, according to the complaint filed Monday in L.A. County Superior Court.

Gibson and Davey, through their company Icon Productions, entered into a co-production deal with Voltage in 2015 to create the film, which was slated for release this year.

"[T]he Agreements require that things such as material changes to the screenplay, change of director from Mr. Safinia to someone else, the final production budget and schedule, and selection of filming locations be agreed to by Icon and Mr. Gibson," writes attorney Jeffery McFarland in the complaint. "Further, as extra insurance that his vision of the film was protected, Mr. Gibson has the right, if necessary, to select the final cut of the film that is released between a cut prepared by Mr. Safinia and a cut prepared by Voltage."

Gibson claims Voltage failed to live up to its end of their deal by failing to provide a budget, secure a completion bond, shoot "critical" scenes in Oxford, execute Safinia's directing deal and pay Icon its producing fee, among a laundry list of other complaints that had the result of "eviscerating" Gibson's approval rights.

The actor-producer also says Voltage screened to potential distributors an unapproved cut of the film at Cannes.

Gibson and Davey, via Icon, are suing Voltage, and its CEO Nicolas Chartier, for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and promissory fraud. They're seeking not only damages but also a declaration that it can exercise its right to terminate the co-production deal and regain its rights to the film.

AMERICAN GODS Star Ian McShane Joins HELLBOY Reboot as Professor Broom

Ian McShane, currently starring on Starz’s American Gods, is joining David Harbour in Lionsgate and Millennium’s Hellboy reboot.

Harbour is toplining as the demonic hero from the Mike Mignola comic books in a new feature, titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, that Neil Marshall, the horror director who broke out with The Descent and won raves for his work on Game of Thrones, is on board to direct.

The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind. McShane will play Hellboy’s adoptive father, Professor Broom. The project is eyeing a September start and will shoot in the UK and Bulgaria.

McShane, who won a Golden Globe for starring in Deadwood, has been winning praise for his work on Gods, in which he plays Mr. Wednesday, an enigmatic god from the Norse myths. He has also been a steady presence in the John Wick movies, where he plays the steely-eyed owner of the boutique hotel that caters to assassins.

The Hellboy casting keeps him in the Lionsgate family as the studio is also behind the Wick franchise and owns Starz, the maker of Gods.
