Yes I hate that shit, look you know what these movies are and about. If you want fuckin plots and great acting and something moving or earth shattering, you wouldn't be going to watch these movies in the first place.

These are the fuckin fast food movies of the cinema universe. Quit acting like you expected them to be a 5 star restaurant when you knew they were serving taco bell.

Powers Boothe, AGENTS OF SHIELD and SIN CITY Actor, Dies at 68

Powers-Boothe-051417a-Dragonlord.png

Powers Boothe, a character actor who appeared in films like Sin City and TV shows including Deadwood and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., died Sunday morning in his sleep of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles. He was 68.

His rep told The Hollywood Reporter that a private service will be held in Boothe's home state of Texas, with a memorial celebration under consideration as well. Donations can be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors the nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need.

His friend, actor Beau Bridges, tweeted the news Sunday afternoon: "It's with great sadness that I mourn the passing of my friend Powers Boothe. A dear friend, great actor, devoted father & husband."

Boothe, who grew up on a farm in the Lone Star State, began his acting career in the theater, playing in a number of Shakespearean productions including Henry IV. He made his Broadway debut in the late 1970s in Lone Star & Pvt. Wars.

In 1980, Boothe won an Emmy for lead actor in a limited series or special for playing cult leader Jim Jones in CBS' Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones. He won that award during an actors strike and chose to cross the picket line to accept his trophy, saying, "This may be either the bravest moment of my career or the dumbest."

Boothe also was nominated two ensemble SAG Awards, first in 1996 alongside the cast of Nixon and then again in 2007 with the cast of Deadwood.

Boothe gained a reputation for playing villains with memorable roles in the action film Sudden Death (1995), Bill Paxton's Frailty (2001) and the nefarious Senator Roark in Sin City (2005). Perhaps his most famous villain role was Cy Tolliver, the ruthless saloon owner on HBO's Deadwood.

More recently, Boothe took on the role of Gideon Malick as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting the role in 2012's The Avengers and reprising it on ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ok, this one is, to say the least, unexpected:

Cannes: Blake Lively to Star in MMA Action-Drama 'Bruised'

The film centers on a single mother working two jobs and a former MMA fighter who must return to the cage in order to keep her son.

Now, given that Blake is kind of tall for a Hollywood actress and not built like a twig, I could see it, if she putsnin the training for the part.

Question is... will they cast any real life for the movie? What weight class do we picture someone like Blake Lively fighting in?

Claire Foy in Talks to Play Lisbeth Salander in THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB

Claire-Foy-Girl-in-the-Spiders-Web-2-Dragonlord.jpg

Claire Foy, who stars as Queen Elizabeth on Netflix’s The Crown, is Sony’s choice to step up to the keyboard to play hacker Lisbeth Salander in its adaptation of The Girl in the Spider's Web.

Fede Alvarez is attached to direct the project, which is seen as a relaunch of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo franchise.

The studio has been on the hunt for a new actress to take on the role, and the finalists came down to Foy and Felicity Jones, sources say. Foy has the offer, according to insiders, but scheduling is one of the challenges that need to be worked out. (The actress is also fielding interest from Universal for its Neil Armstrong biopic First Man, starring Ryan Gosling.)

The role of the brooding and strong Salander is a coveted one as it has proven to be both launch pad and showcase. Noomi Rapace starred in the Swedish-language trilogy, which was an international hit and catapulted her onto the worldwide stage. Rooney Mara played the part in the 2011 film directed by David Fincher and received an Academy Award nomination.

Dragon Tattoo, released in 2011, was based on the first of the three detective novels centering on journalist Mikael Blomkvist and hacker Salander. They were written by Stieg Larsson, who died in 2004. The new film project would be based on the fourth book in the series, which was written by David Lagercrantz and released in 2015.

Foy is a British actress who also appeared on the TV series Wolf Hall and in the 2014 film Vampire Academy.

Zac Efron to Play Ted Bundy in EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE

Zac-Efron-051517-Dragonlord.png

Ahead of the release of his latest film Baywatch, Zac Efron has signed on to a new film project, and he'll be playing one of the world's most notorious serial killers.

Efron will star as Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, which will be helmed by Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory).

Michael Werwie wrote the script for the project, which is told through the perspective of Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy's longtime girlfriend, who went years denying the accusations against Bundy but ultimately turned him in to the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly crimes.

The script earned Werwie the coveted Nicholl Fellowship first prize and landed on the Black List. Voltage is introducing the hot project — which paints Bundy as a portrait of evil yet simultaneously chillingly normal — to buyers in Cannes. Principal photography is set to begin Oct. 9.

Efron has spent the majority of the last few years starring in comedies; the role in Extremely Wicked will take him into dramatically dark waters. He next stars opposite Dwayne Johnson in Paramount's comedy Baywatch, and also stars in the upcoming musical The Greatest Showmanwith Hugh Jackman.

Colin Firth to Star in Pat O'Connor' Political Thriller BENJAMIN'S CROSSING

Colin-Firth-051517-Dragonlord.png

Oscar-winner Colin Firth is set to star in the Pat O’Connor-helmed Benjamin’s Crossing, based on the novel by Jay Parini.

Firth will play Walter Benjamin, the real life Jewish philosopher who made a daring escape from Nazi-occupied Europe through the Pyrenees Mountains in 1940. Fortitude International is financing and launching sales at Cannes. Production is set to go in the fall of 2017.

The political thriller reteams Firth and O’Connor who worked together on 1987’s Un Certain Regard entry A Month In The Country. O’Connor’s other credits include 1984’s Cal, which won Helen Mirren the Best Actress prize at Cannes, and 1998’s Dancing At Lughnasa.

Parini and Devon Jersild adapted the script from Parini’s novel. Based on a true story, in 1940 Benjamin finds himself forced to flee his home in Paris on the heels of the Nazi invasion. With nowhere else to turn, he meets Lisa Fittko, who is helping refugees escape to Spain through the Pyrenees. Despite his weak physical condition, Lisa reluctantly agrees to bring him along, leading an unlikely group of refugees on a daring adventure that will change their lives forever.

First Full Trailer for Sony Pictures Animation's THE EMOJI MOVIE

First Images from THE GREATEST SHOWMAN Starring Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron

000255561.jpg

Walking the trapeze is a breeze compared with getting an original musical about P.T. Barnum off the ground. But after seven years of development, planning, and production, The Greatest Showman — starring Hugh Jackman as the godfather of the modern circus and Michelle Williams as his wife, Charity — will finally hit screens on Christmas Day.

“Up until La La Land, everyone was saying there hasn’t been an original musical in 23 years,” Jackman says. “So the prevailing thought in Hollywood was, unless you have a brand people know, it’s not a done thing. So it just took a long time.”

000255559.jpg

Showman, helmed by commercial director Michael Gracey, tracks Barnum’s rise from poverty-stricken childhood to the launch of his first circus in New York. Efron is Barnum’s business partner, who falls in love with a trapeze artist played by Zendaya. “This was also a time in America where puritans kind of ruled and the circus was the equivalent of some dark-alley-strip-show kind of thing,” Jackman says.

000255558.jpg

Initially, Showman was a traditional biopic, but changed after Gracey suggested adding song-and-dance numbers. “I said, ‘If you’re going to call it The Greatest Showman, you should play to your strengths and we should make it a musical,’” the director says. “That ridiculous remark cost me seven years of my life.”

000255560.jpg

The biggest surprise in Showman is that although it’s set throughout the mid-1800s, the songs — from La La Land’s Oscar-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul — sound like current pop hits. “We were clear from the beginning that this wouldn’t feel like a period movie or a historical piece,” Jackman says. “What would Barnum do now? I have an almost-12-year-old daughter. I wanted [the movie] to be as exciting for her as listening to Katy Perry’s new song.”
